Hello there! My name is Yara Jan. I am the youngest in the family, yet I believe that I think like the eldest :D I am studying Graphic Design & Digital Media in Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, do not let poeple fool you, it is a very awesome place! Even though I work in a field of design, I have an interested in science. I like to experiment new ideas and experience new things in life. I'm also into so many fun things, like; Ice cream, baking, video gaming, and reading. I'm the kind of person who is known for my smile and my warm hug.

Brand Identities

Personal Identity Description: An identity reflecting the designer's per sona. Where the designer's prefrences are highlighted. I t is focusing on using bold lines yet balancing i t wi th thin sharp lines, that is showing in the usage of typefaces in the logo. Also, incorporating cur ved line as i t gives the fe eling of dymanics and movememts, presented in the pink circles. It was decided to use the surmane as a logo because the designer has a strong sense of belonging to her family, thus, she wanted to be highlighted as JAN. The previouse points were choosen to show the professional side of the designer. Moreover, The color s were choosen to br ing for ward the fun side of her, as well as using it in the logo.

Halaqat Wasel Description: An identity designed for Halaqat Wasel, which is an anual business gather ing where all the business men and women share their exper iences. The concept is intcorporating the Arabic let ter " ‍( "Ůˆâ€Źwhich is used as a connecting let ter) in the design. As well as, giving depth by adding dar k green to the cur ved par t to represent the deep ideas which are beng discussed in the gather ing. Put ting a lineon the lef t of the logo as the arrow is crossing that line is a way of showing that, that event is a way for people to cross over walls and reach new hor izons altogether.

Unleash Description: Unlease is an initiative founded by Dr. Nawaf Al bali. Which is a suppor t group for obese individuals to share and discuss ideas and exper iences. The concept is a flying and an unwrapped r ibbon. Also, at the same time the design is depicting the word "unleash" which is "Har ir" in Arabic. The design is deliver ing a ver y fresh and a light feeling to incorporate in it the founder's spir it.

Health Awareness Campaign

Description: This was an awareness campaign suggested pro ject, presented to King Saud Univer sity. The designer was asked to por tray some diseases the saudi community might suffer from, in an appealing way. These poster designs focused on depicting the long-term issues based on each disease along with a slogan in Arabic saying "Protect your self," followed by a phrase that suggests a way to avoid the r isks of having any of the diseases.

Description: In this pro ject the designer was asked to design a font based on a choosen concept in both English and Arabic. Which was musc notes. Focusing on the soothe feeling the music gives and the cur ved lines of the actual musical notes. It also focused on using whole circles of par ts of it as well as straight lines and some angular ities.

Book Cover Redesign

Description: Redesigning a novel's book cover. The designer chose a book of good memor ies to her to wor k with. The book is called "Red Thread" which is a fantasy wr it ten by Abha Obaid. A photograph taken by the designer was taken and zoomed in to be the book cover. As they say, old is gold, and the myth of red threads is an old japanese believe. Thus a ver y light gold leaves were glued on the red tread to give a vintage feeling.
