Stockholm, Sweden Bachelor project 2019 | 2020
The fourteen islands on Lake Malaren that make up the city of Stockholm preserve a seven hundred year of history that racount the story of the Swedish capital. The buildings of the late nineteenth century, the Gothic churches, parks characterize a european capital in which architecture and nature coexist in perfect balance. The metroline is a place of art: among these is the subway line where the stops become a moment to discovery the works of local artists exhibited in them. Craftsmen and designers contribute to maintain the local tradition, especially Gamla Stan, a maze of medieval streets that make up the old center.
Dębno, village Łysa Góra, Poland semester project
The subject of the function is an object with a function resulting from the location, consisting of a house intended for an extended family and ceramic workshops. The project was located in the village of Łysa Góra, located in the Brzeg poviat. The village is dominated by modernized buildings from the 1980s. The designed set of buildings blend in with the surrounding built-up, which is distinguished by a set of 2 storeys on a rectangular plan and a gable roof. On the facade, it includes natural stone and wood, one of the most commonly used for facades. A multi-generation house includes along the existing building line. It is a two-story house with a usable basement.
Danków, province silesia, Poland semester project 2019
When designing the object, I set myself the task of creating an object that blends in with the landscape of Danków. The object will be part of nature thanks to natural facade materials. The most important element of the design is the corridor - the wall separating the assembly into a quiet and active zone. «Wall» stands out as a local dominant, but does not dominate the surroundings. The spatial layout of the object provides peace and quiet for the rest part and functionality for the multifunctional part.
Rainforests Brazil competition | group project 2020
HERE’S A LOT MORE TO FORESTS THAN TREES We want to draw attention to one of the biggest problems of nowadays - DEFORESTATION. A natural forest around the world - that’s an area of forest the size of London lost every week, or roughly one football pitch every 2 seconds. Only 17% of what’s left has any kind of proper protection. Our planet is actually quite green. Almost a third of the Earth’s surface is covered by forest. And forests are not just full of trees - they abound in all kinds of life. Over half of terrestrial animal and plant species and about 300 million people live in forests. What’s more, the fantastic forests of our planet are constantly discovering new secrets. Every year we discover animals, plants and insects that we had no idea about. For example, in 2010–2013, over 400 «new» species were found in the Amazon region alone. From Brazil to Indonesia, forests around the world are being destroyed to make room for the production of goods such as soy, palm oil and cattle. These forests are necessary to win the fight against climate change.
