The unfinished "Egg" monument (destined to be Beirut City Center) is considered a vessel through time in Beirut's history. A front-line spectator to Beirut's numerous socio-political events, it is a symbol of resilience, resistance, and revolution. This in-depth essay examines the Beirut City Center as a social recreation center whose ever-changing function is primarily based on the human interaction arising from its socio-political context at specific times. This essay is illustrated by my photogrammetry 3D study of the egg, photographs, as well as various sourced imagery.
