Through this program, we’re specifically targeting women and non-binary people who identify as racialized, LGBTQIA2S+, neurodiverse or physically disabled, and those who have been out of the workforce for an extended amount of time. With the goal of securing an interview by the end of the program, participants will attend five weeks of training around the themes of Getting Hired, Building Your Network, Career Planning, Sharpening Your Employment Skills, and Moving Towards the Future. This can be especially challenging when competition amongst candidates is soaring, industries have been totally disrupted, and employers’ capacity and needs have once again shifted. In this workshop, we’ll help you learn how the recruitment process works on the company’s side.

We’ll take you step by step through the hiring process, including job applications, interviews, common pre-employment tests, reference checks, job offers, and tips and advice for each step.

It can be as simple as being thirsty and grabbing a glass of water to quench your thirst or something more complex like working continuously to gain a university degree or pursuing a dream job over the long-term. Many of us can relate to the fact that we’ve felt unmotivated at one point or another. But what does that really mean? When we say we are feeling unmotivated or struggling to find the motivation to do something, that’s because we’re lacking in either focus, persistence, energy or goals.

Changing jobs is common practice for many people. Changing careers requires not only time and effort, but a clear strategy and a plan to ensure a successful transition.

|

Seen as one of the more challenging aspects of one’s professional life, changing careers comes with many unknowns, unlike changing jobs where your existing skills sets and expertise are an easy fit and quickly transferable.

Transitioning into a new profession can often be met with skepticism from employers who are looking for direct practical experience that demonstrates your ability to deliver on their business’ objectives.

If you want to take that leap and make your move, this session will cover the essentials of changing careers, steps to take, and how to stay the course.

Job seekers spend countless hours completing online applications, writing cover letters, and tweaking their CVs when hunting for their next great job. But job seekers rarely put themselves in the recruiter’s mindset.

yesmontreal.ca 514-878-9788

Motivation is a process that allows us to initiate and maintain behaviours that help us work towards a goal.

Let’s connect to help you understand motivation and the factors that contribute to its increase and decrease over time.

Power Skills are abilities that tend to be less tangible and are often related to personality traits that determine the way we act and interact with others.

Once referred to as “soft skills,” these abilities are high-value currency in today’s workplace, and in fact, there is nothing “soft” or easy about them.

We’ll identify the most in-demand Power Skills of our time, why they are essential to a thriving career, and how you can develop the ones that will empower you most!

The labour market is increasingly rewarding interpersonal skills, as our jobs require us to work in larger and more remote teams, to adapt to new environments, communicate across borders, learn new skills quickly, and bring something unique to the table.

We often think branding means having a logo and corporate colors used consistently on everything we create.

In this workshop, we’ll demystify how to create a strong brand that goes beyond a logo and corporate colors to help position your startup the right way and differentiate itself from the competitors. More specifically, you’ll have the chance to start defining: 1. your brand messaging, 2. your brand personality and, 3. your brand visual assets. Scaling a business means setting the stage to enable and support growth in your company. It requires planning, additional resources, and possibly more funding. This workshop will give you best practices and strategies to keep the momentum of your business growth headed in the right direction.

Once a business has proven it has a product or service people want, it’s time to move to the next step, which is exponential growth. If you don’t, some other business will be taking that potential market share away from you. Scaling up your business is challenging, but it can also be fun!
