Nestled on the corner of North Main Street and Lexington Avenue in High Point is a jewel of store.

Simon Jewelers, who won fi rst place in this year’s Triad’s Best Jewelry Store category, has been serving the Triad from that location since 1997.

Owned by Gary Simon, Simon Jewelers opened in High Point in 1988. Simon, son of a Norfolk, VA watchmaker, has retail jewelry in his DNA.

According to the website, Gary’s “work ethic is rooted in integrity with vigorous and innovative attention to detail.” The store also touts that “customer service is the focal point around which all else revolves – where merchandising is driven by quality and value – and where exquisite custom design work and outstanding repairs are available on-site.”

The Simon Jewelers’ team continues to give back to the community in other ways, so you shouldn’t be surprised if you see the name at other venues in the Triad. The store’s website states that a percentage of all sales is reinvested in the community through charitable donations and/ or in-kind service and volunteer hours. They goal is to live out the Simon Jewelers philosophy: “Every day should be an occasion. When a customer walks through our doors, we want that person to feel honored and comfortable. The jewelry is secondary to the emotional atmosphere. The customer is the reason we are here.” - Gary Simon
