Landscape plays a key role in the urban environment. To shape a mixed-use masterplan in the River Don, Sheffield, I developed an initial concept idea that uses and celebrates the flow and dynamic character of the river. Curvilinear layout crates interesting water edge spaces and it brings the landscape of the area into more urban areas towards the masterplan. The design connects and creates ecological corridors that benefits the landscape network which integrates perfectly with the site. The samples below are simple sketches towards the masterplan.

London Business School is about to undertake significant transformation. New extensions are being planned with a roof garden on top of one of the new central blocks. Elevated planters with seating edges surround roof-lights and shape informal social areas. Outdoor caf has been proposed with areas for temporarily located dining tables and chairs.
Integrated Project on Sustainable Environment Place-making: Roof Garden Design 2018 This is an integration project working with engineers and architects in the University of Sheffield to shape a better community within the University. 1
The project been prone to undertake transformation to its new extension in the University of Sheffield by incorporating efficient use of energy and sustainable developments. The new extensions are being planned with a roof garden on top of one of the new central blocks. The elevated planters with seating edges shaped the informal social areas. There will also be an outdoor cafe which will be proposed with areas for temporally located dinning tables and chairs. Community Development and Water Management for Tingbjerg Aalborg University GIS and Urban Design 2020 This project introduces the case of Tingbjerg in Copenhagen a community in the Northern part of Copenhagen. Tingbjerg is currently undergoing a development with 1,500 new homes being built in the area which calls for new water management solutions as the existing infrastructure is deemed insufficient by the contractors. Additionally, as Tingbjerg is a ghetto; it faces several of the social and structural issues commonly found in Danish ghetto communities. As sustainable water management is the focus of this project, it will introduce the issue of climate change, its impacts and why water management has to be better integrated into sustainable development and by extension urban development.

Project
In the project, we provide the possibility of adding functions to the areas and a rainwater solution at the same time, providing added value to the citizens and synergy between plans. They also possess the ability to act as ponds for delay, to ensure as much as the water in the area is treated in the same catchment area. The project overall aims. to utilise the areas to incorporate functions as playgrounds, sunken gardens or communal gardens, in sunken areas with overflows, strain on the sewage system is decreased as the water that falls and collects in between the houses are delayed.

The following urban design considerations and opportunities with 3D mapping would establish locations which would support tall building developments as strategic development for cities. These considerations would assist in refining where tall buildings would be more suitable in the opportunity area.

Regeneration requires a large amount of investment and construction which will benefit the local economy. As they are such major developments they also act as catalysts for major investment in infrastructure, public realm, transport and community facilities. New tall buildings can act this stimulus for regeneration by unlocking the potential of an area and increasing its attractiveness for investment. They can also help draw visitors and major companies who will spend money into an area.

Transit-Focused Growth Scenarios to Solve Hoboken’s Housing Crisis Scenario Planning on GIS 2019 According to the UN-Habitat, most cities are facing issues of inefficient land-use and unsustainable urban growth. The unplanned densification causes environmental and socio-economic issues such as environmental degradation and unequal distribution of resources. In addition, inefficient cities with obsolete urban spatial patterns should be guided to improve the densification process and consider the undesirable effects of urbanisation such as gentrification, housing supply and accessibility. The project explores the urban densification on changes of urban land densities in Hoboken to project to the future. The scenarios have been adapting a transit-focused scenario as a corridor to tackle housing crisis for Hoboken, New Jersey. The study contributes to apply three alternative scenarios to the future urban development in a more holistic planning policies for the city of Hoboken, embracing both the physical and social function of its current development position.

There are anomalies between the line density map and the basic map on the effects on PM2.5. For example, the highest LAEI concentration on PM2.5 levels are seen in the central London, whereas the effect on PM2.5 shows the highest mortality rate on the outskirt of London. This may further indicates that there are other variables that contribute to the overall effects on PM2.5 other than road vehicles' emissions.

Mobility has become one of the essential roles and physical components to urban areas. However, the air pollution from road vehicles have raised air quality concerns. The Story Map will therefore be aimed at the city council and the government to evaluate and provide recommendation for London to cut its emissions and improve the air quality overall. To identify the atmospheric emissions, the Story Map will focus on the road transports in London with basic map analysis and density surfaces analysis to evaluate which areas of London will have the highest emissions and the concentration of air pollutants. The Story Map will also provide the health impacts of particulate pollution and the average air quality in London to illustrate the effects of the atmospheric emissions in order for the city council and the government to tackle the concern of the air pollution in UK.

The concentration of PM2.5 is connected to the production of NO2 emissions from road transport. Here is an overview of the total NO2 level contributed by the Legend total of road transports in London. The aim for this design report is to propose a new redevelopment for Site 3 of West Bar, Sheffield. The report intends to improve the landuse, the character and the physical environment of West Bar to fit the regeneration vision of the Sheffield City Council.
West Bar is located to the North of Sheffield City Center and is adjacent to the Riverside on the East and North West to the Kelham Island in Sheffield.

Option 3 incorporates the both option 1 and 2 designs with modern buildings and landscapes transformed from the high density uses. The design has also considered a central pedestrianized public realm with wider walking paths for greater accessibility and to encourage people walking and cycling. The design has also provided rooftop gardens to maximize green space. Option 3 has also adopted a hotel and more retail shops available for tourists and business workers to the area. Overall, Option 3 complies the desired design element in option 1 and 2.
On the other hand, op 3 is more feasible because it lies within range of viability (16.40%), while option and 2 have a lower percentage of profit (13.26%, 11.83%) and means option 3 has a higher possibility to m the project viable thro design changes.

Stage 4 The design option 2 has inherited a similar design as option 1 with high density use of buildings. However, option 2 has adopted more landscapes, rounded plazas and greeneries between buildings to create a friendly atmosphere for users. The design has also adopted a semienclosed courtyard to create privacy for residents with basement carparks to maximize the use of space.

The first and second stage on the design are based on the concept of permeability with high density use for possible buildings to be developed in the site. The initial design considers optimal block sizes and walk paths in order to create a friendly environment and to connect main streets for transports. The design in the first two stages have caused the over division of space. Therefore, option 1 design is raised to improve the hidden turning corners which will raise safety issues in the Northern area of the site.

The appraisal area is redesigned to create a lively and viable district with a proposal which aims for a new urban identity near the City Centre of Sheffield. The site will establish varieties of professional services to attract workers and people to West Bar.
The final design for the proposal will be chosen from a preferred option out of three design options. The desired design is considered based on the design quality with an appropriate financial viability and the ability to change and adapt in the future of the schemes. In this proposal, the stages of the design has been developed into a final detailed design.

Prince Bay Area Promenade Office Urban: I Masterplanning Design 2019 This is an integration project of Office Urban I designers working with SED Landscape architects in Hong Kong to design a promenade area in Shenzhen. The project aims to promote a modern promenade combining the features of both the industrial park and a waterfront culture, which benefits in landscape around the watch factory, satisfies the recreation needs of people living here, and increases the biological environment. This urban space will be showcasing art and technology in sustainable and healthy manner driving towards the development purpose of green new city.

HKPI Rooftop Landscape Design Office Urban: I Roof Garden Design 2019 This project was aimed to design a rooftop landscape in one of the skyscrapers in Hong Kong. Based on the eco-city guide, the design used the sponge city concept and measures, such as ecological drainage way and grass-planting bricks within the landscape design. The landscape is prone to create efficient use of space and sustainable features. Place-Making for Ageing Population Yr3. Urban Design Thesis: Podium Garden Design 2019 In recent years, the global is striving for an age-friendly environment. By 2020, the paradigm demographic shift from the migrants in the Hong Kong colony will pass the age of 65. And this design dissertation attempts to redevelop and redesign a Podium Garden in Hong Kong’s Public Housing Estate for the ageing population. The aim of this design dissertation is to answer and explore “To What Extent Can the Public Space of Podium Gardens Improve the Social and Physical Quality For The Old Ageing Population in Hong Kong Social Housing Estates?” The complexity of Hong Kong environment and development have led this investigation to be inspirational. The resources on the urban design for the older generation in Hong Kong is limited, therefore this investigation will be served as an insight for future planning to create an age-friendly community. The data collected in elderly centre has carried out to conclude the needs and improvements for the podium garden within housing estates. In general, the data collected has achieved to provide a new design vision to housing estates to improve the quality of life for the ageing population, as well as to encourage an age-friendly community and a sustainable environment. Urban Design Thesis: Process The stages of the design have implemented the concept of permeability to the possible buildings in the podium to overcome the division of space and void areas in the site. The design considers optimal block sizes to connect main frontages and pedestrian zone in the site. This design allows to improve the hidden turning corners and safety issues throughout the site. The site has incorporated active frontages and has undertaken a semi-enclosed concept to maximise the use of space while creating privacy for residents. Overall, the design complies the desired design element to sustain an age-friendly environment.
The location of the plantable area for Elderly are designed with enlarged space from residential blocks to visualise the site.
Open areas of the site can add greenery landscape along the site with appropriate street furniture which enhances the aesthetic and the landscape of the podium
The open atrium creates visibility and limit edges through the site by adding active frontages
