Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Garden Centre Magazine for Grangewood Garden Centre,

Inside this edition you can find a plentiful amount of information on what you can find instore, including a section on monthly garden tips. With knowledgeable and friendly staff on hand in store to help with advice or inspiration, complemented by the huge variety of stock available, you will be sure to find what you need for your upcoming garden and/or home projects. This edition also includes many different informative editorials and alongside you will find local businesses whose services may just be what you are looking for.

We have also launched a digital copy of the magazine, available to view on your smart phone instantly. ABOUT US

Since September 2017 we have been lovingly restoring our small but perfectly formed garden centre which is located in the centre most point of the Midlands. The joy of being a smaller independent garden centre gives us the ability to really listen to our customers wants and needs and allows us to continually develop the site into something that offers not only essential products for all their gardening needs but also somewhere to inspire their ideas to transfer to their much loved garden spaces at home.

OUTDOOR PLANTS

Upon entering the garden centre you will see an array of seasonal blooms and creative displays which we like to keep updated on a regular basis meaning our plants are always extremely fresh and well maintained.

One of our more recent additions has been to extend the plant sales area which has given us the opportunity to stock much larger specimen plants which have been an instant favourite with our wonderfully loyal customers.

We pride ourselves on selecting the best seasonal stock and we are always pleased to get feedback from customers about how well maintained our plants are. Our team of plant experts are always on hand with their cheery advice to get the best out of your outdoor space and to help you create somewhere you are really proud of.

INDOOR PLANTS

House plants have been such a hot topic over the last few years and this has been an area we have really loved developing. It is always interesting to see which houseplant is currently taking centre stage and we like to make sure we not only have the current trending plants but the knowledge to assist with keeping them thriving within your home.

We particularly love the hanging plants as they create such interest for your eye line and are great for building our lush green displays.

There are of course huge health benefits to keeping plants within your home as they can really help with air purification. Sansevieria also known as Mother in laws tongue is a great one to keep in bedrooms as it will absorb CO2 overnight.

TERACOTTA & STONEWARE

Create a focal point within your garden and some structural interest with our wonderful selection of stoneware. We have a wide variety of designs in many sizes to suit any garden. Locally produced stoneware is always popular with our customers as larger pieces create instant impact to a theme within your garden and we find that the smaller pieces sell especially well for gifts.

GARDENING SUPPLIES

As plants are our main focus here we have a wide selection of garden supplies to help maintain your space and so you get the most out of your plants. From plant feed to gardening tools we are certain we have all you could need to create and maintain the perfect garden plot.

CABINS & RESTAURANT

We are now home to 11 individually run independent log cabin shops and an extremely popular restaurant. You will find so many interesting businesses on site from hairdressers to counselling services, hot tub sales to raw dog food.

Our current selection within the cabins is Illuminating Weaves, Fallons Hair Emporium, Potentilla Wellness Centre, High Vibe Crystal Cabin, High Vibe Yoga Studio, Midlands Hot Tubs, Pure and Raw Dog Food, Pressed for Time, Sunset Goose, The Cabin Store and Pritchy Prints Studio

There is a very handy car wash on site so you can relax in the garden centre and maybe have a spot of lunch whilst your car is left sparkling ready for collection.

The restaurant is now owned by a husband and wife duo who have really taken things to the next level. It has been amazing to see how the restaurant can thrive with fully booked tables every weekend and plenty of privately hired parties in their conservatory area we always recommend booking beforehand.

HOME & GIFTS

In our new look home ware department you will always find something exciting, that you may not have seen in other shops. We introduced the addition of antiques a few years ago now as we were continuously asked by customers if they could buy our display pieces and with there being lots of ‘one off’ items we have seen how customers have learnt if they don’t go home with it on that day they may not be able to come back for it or we may never be able to find another ourselves!

We couldn’t miss out everyone’s favourite cat, Tilly!

Already residing in the garden centre when we opened in September 2017, Tilly is a core member of the team and adored by so many of our customers. You will often see her patrolling the site or having a snooze amongst the plants, sometimes getting accidentality watered by the hose. Tilly is the most perfect garden centre cat as she is so friendly and loves the attention she gets from her favourite customers and staff, she even gets Christmas presents brought in!

FLORIST

Since October 2022 we decided to create a new addition to the garden centre with an in house florist which is located in one of our log cabin shops. This has given our customers a very handy extra service as we always have fresh, ready to take away bouquets to suit all budgets and the ability to create a custom arrangement for any style, they can even serve you a coffee and cake whilst you wait!

Regular monthly children’s and adults workshops have been extremely popular and we have many dates for our Christmas wreath workshops already fully booked! Having the opportunity to learn a new skill and socialise at the same time seems to be something that will always be craved and will never be replaced by the ever growing offering with online shopping. We find that there is still a huge demand for some good old face to face activities and an opportunity to get creative with friends or to meet new people is something we love to provide.
