House Plants
Plants are a great way of brightening a room, and many have the benefit of purifying the air you are breathing as well. It is important to think about where the plants will be positioned as some prefer light, whilst others grow better in shaded areas, and some like a bit of both! Visit us in store and our team will be happy to provide help and guidance.
Happiest in direct sunlight – Many plants originating in hot climates are genetically suited to high levels of sunlight and work well in south facing rooms and conservatories without scorching. Go for plants such as aloe vera, fig leaf trees, money trees, mother in law’s tongue, yucca, and ZZ plants
Cacti and Succulents - Cacti and succulents come in many shapes and sizes, and grow best in areas with lots of light, high temperature and low moisture. A free-draining compost is recommended.
Happiest in shade – Plants that thrive under tree canopies in the wild can make great indoor plants, thriving in shady areas with low light levels. Perhaps surprisingly, many of these plants are bright and vibrant in colour. Go for plants such as aspidistra, calathea, dragon trees, peace lilies, prayer plants and spider plants.
Pots & planters – We have a great selection of pots, planters and hanging baskets for all of your indoor plants needs. Come and visit us to see, and please ask for help and advice if needed.

SARAH JANE’S INTERIOR DESIGN
When it comes to decorating your home, you want to create a space that you can enjoy, that is inviting and feels comfortable. Working with an interior designer is the best way to bring your dream to life. Their industry expertise takes the stress and hard work out of your hands, allowing you to invest in the project with nothing more than your vision.
As well as an in-depth knowledge of colour co-ordination, planning layouts and making the most of spaces, interior designers have the advantage of experience. The average household redecorates every 5-10 years, interior designers can take upwards of 4 projects each year. Every project comes with its own challenges, different shaped rooms, different requirements and needs. Therefore, an interior designer can draw on past work, as well as their technical knowledge to ensure you get exactly what you envisioned.
Decorating and delivering extensive projects such as complete refurbishments of rooms or even full houses, can become a heavy workload. Working with a top interior designer, you can expect delivery of designs, execution of the decorating and even teams to undertake structural and building work as and where required. It is a complete service, that can work to a schedule, and leaves no stone unturned. Need matching furniture? Industry leading interior designers often offer upholstery services, so if you can’t find furniture that fits, they’ll create and adapt it for you.
