With knowledgeable and friendly staff on hand in store to help with advice or inspiration, complemented by the huge variety of stock available, you will be sure to find what you need for your upcoming garden and/or home projects. This edition also includes many different informative editorials and alongside you will find local businesses whose services may just be what you are looking for.

Servicing garden machinery during the winter months is a strategic decision that enables numerous benefits, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of equipment. Seasons Garden Centre is a family run business with over 40 years of experience in gardening, gifting, DIY, Pet Care, Leisure, and Food. Seasons Garden Centre at Wilstead, Bedford was our first garden centre to open in the early 90’s and was soon followed by our Burton Latimer store. We have recently had the pleasure of opening our third Garden Centre in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.
Seasons Garden Centres are proud to be at the heart of our communities within Wilstead, Burton Latimer and Chatteris.
OUTDOOR PLANTS
As you follow the doors to our outdoor plant area, you will find a large selection of our everyday popular flowers under the canopies and, with further exploring of our outside area, you will find a great range of trees, bushes and climbing plants.
Our garden centre team is here to advise and support you on your choice of outdoor planting.
At Seasons, our seasonal bedding plants include ever popular Pansies, Geraniums, Poppys, Marigolds, Petunias, Surfinias, Lobelia and much more! (Plants may vary depending on availability)
We have a great range of perennials such as Hostas or Euphorbia, as well as climbing Roses and Clematis. Our range of conifers and shrubs are established plants which come in various sizes to accommodate for both pots and larger established flower beds. These include Lavenders, Fuchsias, Acers, Buddleia and Hebe.
Larger items and display pieces are also available including trees, flower arches and hedging.
We also stock a range of quality Mr Fothergills seeds and Taylors seasonal bulbs including vegetable and wildflowers from leading growers.

With houseplants continuing to increase in popularity, at Seasons we have a huge range of fashionable plants as well as the classics such as orchids, ferns and cacti. We also have a comprehensive range of indoor pots – so if you are looking for a gift or if you just want to add life to your home – we have it covered.

We have a comprehensive range of indoor conservatory and contemporary outdoor furniture including fire pits, sofas, companion sets, egg chairs and bistro sets.
Our garden furniture comes in many shapes and sizes, to coincide with all budgets. So, if you are looking for a small bistro set to finish off your small patio area then you will be sure to love our Ceramic Bistro Set. Maybe you’re looking for something a little more relaxed, then our Pagoda Capri Garden Furniture is suited for you - available in 4- or 6-seater sets, it comes with stackable chairs and a crank & tilt parasol. Pond and Aquatic Specialists
Within our store we have Maidenhead Aquatics. They have everything you need for outdoor and indoor fish husbandry. Pond products include fresh plants, liners, water tests, medication, spare parts and of course cold-water fish including quality KOI carp. They also have an extensive range of aquarium fish in store and all the equipment you need including filters, pumps, decorations and quality brands of fish food.
Our range of water features will add tranquillity, harmony and sound to any garden, regardless of size or design. Listening to the sound of gentle flowing water is not only good for the soul but also great for all those thirsty birds and important garden insects.

CHRISTMAS AT SEASONS!
At Seasons, we offer an extensive and unique range of Christmas decorations, ornaments, lights and trees.
From tinsel, baubles, lights and cuddly reindeer to robin mugs, gonks, nutcrackers, gingerbread, and fairies – the magic never stops. We are particularly proud of our illuminated ranges of houses, indoor and outdoor lights, lanterns and infinity characters.
Fresh Fir trees are our speciality and are available in a smaller potted variety.

SEASONS FAYRE
We are very proud of the 5-star food hygiene rating awarded to us in 2023.
This year has seen a café revamp and makeover with newly decorated displays and flooring. Seasons Fayre is renowned for good quality food at competitive prices, all served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where all are welcome (including our four-legged guests).
Seasonal Offers are available in store such as Christmas, Valentine and Mother’s or Father’s Day bookings. We welcome parties of any size and are happy to reserve tables to avoid disappointment on the day.
Sunday Carvery – here at Seasons Fayre, we do all the hard work for you so you can sit back and enjoy your food without having to worry about all the pots stacking up in the kitchen. With our helpful staff here to help serve up your Sunday Carvery, all you need to decide is what meat or veg will be on your dinner plate!

Whilst you’re purchasing your supplies, be sure to come and say ‘Hi’ to our resident parrots, Bob our African Grey and JoJo our Orange Winged Amazon parrot. They can be very talkative from Bob’s famous words of ‘What you doing?’ to JoJo mimicking our phone ringing or the forklift reversing – they are much loved by our customers and are sure to brighten up your day!
Within Seasons we have our very own specialist DIY store added in 2022 WEST END DIY
West End is part of our group, and has been established since 1938, so we are confident of the expertise and product quality inside. West End DIY covers everything from electricals, bathroom and plumbing, decorating, guttering, sealants, light bulbs, tools to paints, wallpapers and much more besides!
We would challenge you to walk into our DIY and not walk out with something that you have been meaning to purchase for some time!
We offer brands such as Johnstone, Dulux, Ronseal and Harris and with over 200 bay of wallpapers we are delighted to offer one of the biggest ranges of quality and fashionable wallpaper portfolios available locally.
And, at Season’s West End store we have a DULUX paint mixing service which can colour match your exact requirements.
What’s more, we also have over ten West End DIY branches locally, so if you cannot find what you are looking for, we may well be able to source it from our sister branches, often for next day delivery.

TIME FOR A NEW CARPET
Carpets are a common feature throughout many homes, especially in living areas such as front rooms and bedrooms. Even with the rise in popularity of wooden flooring, carpets are still preferential for many as they provide comfort, warmth, and a much cosier feel overall.
You can find a range of carpets with various qualities, colours and materials, that allow you to work within various budgets. From the basic plain, to thick plush and extravagant. Finding the perfect carpet for your home can really help finish off a room or give a space a whole different feel. Carpets should last at least 10 years, perhaps longer with proper care and maintenance.
You should look out for signs that it is time to replace them though.
VISIBLE ISSUES
The key signs that should become apparent with just a visual inspection are wear and tear, stains, fading, burn marks, fraying and loose threads. Especially where carpets experience a lot of traffic, such as walkways or walk through in rooms, you may expect to see the thinning of the fabric which can result in holes, tears and other such deteriorations.
FEEL AND SMELL
Overtime your carpet may lose its feel. The plushness and thickness of the carpet is reduced over time, this can also lead to allergic reactions as well as the fabric and fibres release into the air, and the carpet is less able to capture allergens. Developing smells, mould and other issues may also arise, especially in the case of water damage. Dirt, soil and spillages can
sometimes build without notice if there is no significant change in the look of the carpet as a result.
PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
Using matts in walkways and entrances is always good practice. They invite people to consider the condition of their footwear before walking through the house, but also collect much of the harmful dirt that would otherwise be trodden through your home. Regular cleaning and care for your carpets will also ensure their longevity.
When it comes to older carpets though, a trusted local carpet fitter should offer a range of options for replacement, and there’s nothing like the feel of new carpets and underlay underfoot to make a room feel warm, comfortable and inviting.
