PROJECT OVERVIEW
LOGO & BRANDING DESIGN CONCEPT The Silver Springs is a senior living center, located in Santa Barbara. The purpose of the Silver Springs is to provide a cozy environment for the elder people and make them feel they are coming back home. The “silver stands for the aged people as their hair color. According to the perfect climate of Santa Barbara, the four-seasons spring, the senior living center was named Silver Springs. The name expresses the expection that the residents will have a wonderful time in this community.

CONCEPT
CONCEPT STATEMENT Cotton always symbloize soft and cozy, as the definition of home. The senior residents care most is the sense of home. The meaning of senior housing is not only the living place, the elder people stiil have their great own life when they live in the seniour living center. I would like to bring the senior housing design with the concept of cotton, and provide the sense of comfort. Like the characteristic of cotton, white is the primary color. Cotton is a natural plant, the concept also conveys health and natural life status. Plants and its elements are the part of the design.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The project is to redesign the interior space of a three-stories residential building. The building located at 13 Dicha Alley, San Francisco. This residential condominium construction was built in 1955 within three units. The type of construction is Type IV, which refers to construction was built with combustible materials. The building has been owned by the Mariotto family, who live in the third-floor condominium. The owner Maria Mariotto rents the first and second-floor units to low-income groups through San Francisco Section 8 Rental Assitance Program.

CLIENT INFO The resident who lives on the first floor is Anita, a 25 years old single lady. The natural and fresh interior living space is appropriate for her age. I would like to design the open and semi-open space in this project, for creating a bright and spacious unit and enlarge the space in visual effect. Kitchen and dining room are conterminous, and reserve seats for her invited friends. In an affordable home, energy-efficiency is the most important consideration. I would like using sustainable materials for finishing. The facilities and electrical equipment have to meet the LEED standard, like the low-flow toilet, and LED bulbs.
