Brand
Intro
This project is a drive thru exterior design. is a type of service provided by a business that allows customers to purchase products without leaving their cars. The format was pioneered in the United State in the 1930s by Jordan Martin, but has since spread to other countries. The first recorded use of a bank using a drive-up window teller was the Grand National Bank of St. Louis, Missouri in 1930. The drive-up teller allowed only deposits at that time.Drive-throughs have generally replaced drive-ins in popular culture, and are now found in the vast majority of modern American fast-food chains .

History
For my drive thru restaurant brand, I picked Lady M Confections. Lady M began by selling cakes to New York City’s top restaurants and food establishments in 2002. In December 2004, Lady M opened its first boutique café on the Upper East Side in New York City. It opened two other boutiques in Manhattan, including one at the Plaza Food Hall in 2012 and a third location across from Bryant Park in 2013. In August 2013, Lady M opened its first cake boutique on the West Coast in Los Angeles as well as a franchise bakery in Singapore. Lady M Confections “prides itself on creating the freshest and finest cakes and confectionary delights.”

Concepts
For my first four concepts, I tried to make everything simple, flat. Today, minimalism is a trend, not only in fashin design, but also in architecture and interior design. Lady M is not a cheap cake brand, it is luxury, beautiful and unique cake. Using the line meaning the layer of their cake.
Lady M was a luxury cake brand. They didn’t have drive thru walk up restaurant. Mille Crêpes cake was their signature cake. Therefore, I want keep their cake “Layers” in my exterior design work, and Logo color- purple and cream color.

Variaty shape of decorations and irregularly structure of architecture design. In these four concepts, I want to have some fun. Therefore, I build some irregular shape in these four works. These four are modern architecture design, I want to bring the metal, wood and more light on these four ideas.

Classic bakery design. In these four concepts, classic was the main idea. Windows have grid frames, columns and outdoor lamps are classic bakery’s signature elements. Mille crepes cake are classic french cake. In these four design, I want to extend the classic bakery design, and also combine with modern drive thru idea.

Architecture
Rendering Two design for my drive thru restaurant. In the first one, I use wood and dark blue glasses for the main material. Break the flat and vertical cube, put irregular shape of glasses as the windows. The layer of wood texture was same as their signature Mille Crêpes cake. I design a side door instead of putting a drive thru window on the side of the restaurant. Because the cake store is not same as fast food drive thru restaurant, the cake is very easy to broke when the staff give your cake through the side window. An open side door make this driving thru more luxury and convinient. In my second design, colors are my main points to focus. The logo of Lady M cake store, they use purple and white color, so I want to keep these two color, use these for my exterior design. Using a lot of large size glass windows to catch people’s eyes. When customer drive thru, they can clearly see the interior of the restaurant.
