SOMETHINGS ABOUT MYSELF... I’M YING CHI WANG

Hello,

I am Ying Chi Wang, a Taiwanese designer, who graduated from Istituto Marangoni Milano. I prepared for nearly a year to create the eponymous brand Ying Chi Wang.

The main concept of the brand comes from a part of my name ,”瀅 YING”, which means the appearance of clear water. I transformed the word “瀅 YING” into a simple, timeless and sof t urban style, which has become the key elements of the brand.

To me, every bag is a work, just like painting, focusing on fine details rather than brand symbols, which is why it is not a logo on the bag, it is more like a signeture from the painter.

CONCEPT WANDER

Since 2020, people have embraced a new period, adapted to the new life of pandemic, faced their anxiety and barrier. But all kinds of problems and fears accumulate day by day, people keep thinking about when will a new chapter begin, Instead of reminiscing about peaceful days, but to live anew. During the wandering period, it is a time of reflection between the past and the future, I hope to guide people to return to their original intentions.

THE WANDER SERIES

is inspired by the gradient lines of rocks and urban architecture, the rendered design on the edge of the bag symbolizes life, the memories, the time of wander and the future. Everyone has their own uniqueness, and like every memory, For better or for worse, as time passes, it will become part of your life. Expecting everyone can reflect duting this wandering period and go to the future that you are pursuing.

THE SHIMMER SERIES

The corrugated wood trim is inspired by the erosion of the boulders in the mountains to form pebbles, each uniquely remain at the shimmering riverbed, and the wood grain just like time lingering, it imprinted on top of the pebbles, conveying the concept of timelessness and tranquility.

The Inspiration of the crimp texture wooden accessory is from the irregular shape of stone, ripple of water combined with wood, to covey timeless and peaceful concept.

INFO: This is an accordion style bag made by Nappa leather from Italy certificated by BLUE ANGEL, with white stitching, can be carried by hand, shoulder, crossbody, using magnet to open and close, with oval and round hardware, and special rendering edge oil design. Cotton and linen for lining, and there is an open pocket on the inside-back.

INFO: It is a classic flap bag, made by leather with natural grain from Italy certificated by BLUE ANGEL, matching with the same color stitching, can be carried by hand, shoulder, cross-body, walnut handle and hardware made in cooperation with Taiwanese carpenter, with cotton and linen lining, has one open pocket on the inside back.
