The exhibition will feature the information design posters for showing the students’ design abilities. Because when students did the information design project, they had to use the basic design language as typography, colour and visual grammar. This exhibition will show 32 information design posters. All works can be classified into four different type of infographic: map, timeline, diagram and typology. So the posters will be displayed in four section based on the type of infographic. There will be 12 posters in map area, 11 in timeline area, 7 in diagram area and 2 in typology area.

When doing the information design, designers have to collect the data and find the connection between the information at first. The logo is inspired by the design process and≈infographic charts. It implies the concept of information collection and visualisation. It is like all the data be collected together and then emanate beautifully. 12

20
Therefore, the audiences who already know about the information design might go to the display area firstly (the blue route). However, people who have no idea about infographic might want to understand what information design is before they see the exhibits. They will go to the introduction before the display area (the green route).

The interaction area is inspired by Roman Ondák’s Measuring The Universe. It is a living infographic. There is a world map on the wall. People can sign their names on the place where they are from. The place will be darker when more visitors sign their names. It can show the information of the country most people coming from. So after people see all the exhibits, the interaction area helps people understanding the information design more through audience engagement.
