In general, each passenger can take two items of luggage plus one personal item. There are no weight restrictions – just remember you’ll need to carry everything!

WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU REQUIRE AT THE TIME OF BOOKING? All passenger first and last names, and all dates of birth, are required at the time of booking. Certain train providers will require passport information.

CAN I CUSTOMIZE MY TRIP? Absolutely. We can add hotel nights to give you extra time to explore your destination, or add in additional destinations to help you discover new ones! We can also add transfers for ultimate ease and convenience and have an extensive range of sightseeing options so you can make the most of your trip. CAN YOU RECOMMEND THE MOST SCENIC ROUTE TO GET TO MY DESTINATION? We’re always advocates of taking the scenic route! AM I ABLE TO TRAVEL ON MY CHOICE OF DATES? There are no set departure dates with our vacations, with the exception of private train journeys. Most trains will run every day, which means our vacations do too!

CAN I CHOOSE MY TRAIN TIMES? Our packages don’t have set departure times, and if there is a train running when there are multiple trains a day, your Rail Experts will be able to talk you through the different departures. If there’s a particularly convenient time or a departure that will ensure you catch the best scenery, we’ll be sure to recommend it.

HOW SOON BEFORE THE TRAIN DEPARTS SHOULD I BE AT THE STATION? With the exception of Eurostar, which has a 45-minute check-in time, there is no official check-in required for train journeys in Europe. Of course, we always recommend arriving at the station in plenty of time.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY TRAVEL DOCUMENTS? After we receive full payment, travel documents will be mailed or emailed to you approximately 21 days prior to your departure.

CHANGES A fee of $25 per person (per change) will be charged by YLG for any alteration or revision made to a reservation after deposit or payment is received. Any revision made to a booking (including but not limited to rail changes or name changes) may result in the loss of the confirmed rail seat or Sleeping car accommodations. YLG cannot guarantee the availability of requested changes. Changes after documents and tickets are issued will be treated as cancellations, there is no refund permitted on rail tickets once they have been issued. If you make a change after travel documents are issued, you may need new travel documents. YLG charges a reticketing fee when it is necessary to reissue rail tickets. TRAVEL PROTECTION OPTION (TPO) Travel Protection Option (TPO) allows you to cancel your Railbookers arrangements for any reason up to noon Eastern Time on the last business day prior to the first services offered by Railbookers. Important: The TPO must be purchased at time of booking, or when deposit is paid, and is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Carefully read the Cancellation Waiver & Insurance Plan by following the link in your invoice. The TPO does not cover cancellation or “no shows” on the day of departure. A “no show” is defined as a failure to notify Railbookers of a cancellation prior to noon Eastern Time on the last business day prior to departure. Note: The TPO does not cover any single supplement charges which arise from an individual’s traveling companion electing to cancel for any reason prior to departure. In this case, the single supplement will be deducted from the refund of the person who cancels. Division of this charge between the two passengers involved is solely their responsibility. If insufficient funds are deducted from the canceling client, the traveling client will be charged the remaining portion of the single supplement. Payment of TPO (if chosen) must be received by Railbookers with your Deposit. The TPO is nontransferable and valid for each applicant only. Cancellations made before 12:00 noon Eastern Time on last business day prior to the first services offered by Railbookers are eligible for refunds. Applicable cancellation penalties in accordance to the schedule above will be refunded in the form of a future travel voucher that can be used on any Railbookers trip booked within one year of the date of cancellation. All passengers traveling internationally are required to have a passport. Most countries require that the passport be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the conclusion of your trip. It is recommended you have a minimum of three blank pages in your passport when traveling, as many countries require blank pages. Multiple-entry visas are required for some vacations. It is your responsibility to verify all visa and passport requirements. The process of obtaining a visa and/or passport can take up to three months or more. Some government agencies in foreign countries require YLG to collect and pass on certain personal and other details related to you, including but not limited to government-

issued identification and passport details. If you fail to supply the details as requested fully and accurately, your trip may be interrupted or cancelled. There are no refunds for failure to provide documentation or failure to provide documentation by the time required. To enter and leave the United States, all U.S. citizens must carry proof of citizenship such as a valid passport. Noncitizens must have a valid passport, visa or alien card that permits travel outside the United States. A “multiple entry” visa for return to the U.S. may be required. You are responsible for obtaining and paying for any visa, passport or documentation needed. Passengers traveling outside the United States must provide date of birth, citizenship and passport information at the time of reservation. Railbookers is not responsible for any passenger that is denied entry into another Country. If the remaining portion of the trip must be cancelled, the passenger is subject to the cancellation fees noted above and is responsible for all fees to return home. PRICE POLICY All vacation prices are based on rates known at the time of publication and expected to be in effect at the time of departure, and do not include airfare or rail from your home gateway. These events can include, but are not limited to war, threat of war, civil strife, terrorist activity and its consequences or the threat of such activity, riot, the act of any government or other national or local authority including port or river authorities, industrial dispute, lock closure, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, chemical or biological disaster and adverse weather, sea, ice and river conditions and all similar events outside our or the supplier(s) control.
