DAY 5 - TALKEETNA
Today, enjoy a scenic ride on Alaska Railroad as you travel to Talkeetna. This small charming town is known as the gateway to Denali.

DAY 6 - DENALI NATIONAL PARK
Today, explore Talkeetna at your leisure. Visit the Talkeetna Waterfront Park where the Talkeetna and Sustina Rivers meet. Later this afternoon board Alaska Railroad to Denali.

7 - DENALI NATIONAL PARK
Denali, the Crown Jewel of national parks, is a true wilderness and only has one road bisecting the park. On your full day tour you’ll adventure 92 miles on this road deep into the heart of Denali National Park. Stop at the Polychrome Overlook which is known for its gorgeous kaleidoscope of colors formed by volcanic rock. Be sure to look out for grizzlies, moose and caribou.
DAY 8 - FAIRBANKS
Your train to Fairbanks leaves late this afternoon so you can spend the day exploring downtown Denali or perhaps you want to take a short hike on one of the many trails.

9 - FAIRBANKS
Enjoy the day exploring Fairbanks and learning about its history and how it became a boomtown once gold was discovered in the early 1900’s.

DAY 3 - DENALI NATIONAL PARK
Depart Anchorage this morning onboard Alaska Railroad for your journey to Denali. Enjoy the spectacular landscapes of Alaska as you travel north passing through Wasilla and Talkeetna.
DAY 4 - DENALI NATIONAL PARK
Spend the day adventuring deep into the heart of Denali National Park today to Kantishna on a guided tour. Be sure to keep your eyes out for wildlife including the “Big Five”—grizzly bear, moose, Dall sheep, caribou and wolf.!
DAY 5 - ANCHORAGE

DAY 3 - DENALI NATIONAL PARK
Depart Anchorage this morning for a scenic journey on Alaska Railroad. The train crosses the Knik River with the Chugach Mountains as a backdrop, travels through backcountry Alaska and passes remote cabins before views of Denali rise over the Susitna River. Upon arrival, be transferred to your hotel and settle in for a 2 night stay.
DAY 4 - DENALI NATIONAL PARK
On your full day tour into the heart of Denali, you’ll travel through the forest and tundra, see the wild rivers and glaciers, and learn what makes this an amazing Alaskan landscape. You’ll be sure to see some wildlife on your tour with 39 species of mammals in the park including the big five, moose, caribou, Dall sheep, wolves and grizzly bears.
DAY 5 - FAIRBANKS
Explore Denali at your leisure or relax at your hotel soaking in the beauty of Alaska’s wilderness. Later this afternoon, board Alaska Railroad for the journey north winding along Healy Canyon, following the curves of the Nenana River below, as you make your way to Fairbanks.
DAY 6 - FAIRBANKS
Spend the day venturing north to Alaska’s untouched landscapes at the Arctic Circle. On your tour will learn about the Trans Alaska Pipeline, look down upon the Yukon River, travel along the Dalton Highway, search for Alaskan wildlife and more.

Board Alaska Railroad’s Glacier Discovery train for your trip to visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, home to brown and black bears, moose, caribou, wood bison and more. Then continue on the train to the Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop. There your guide will meet you with the raft and row you between icebergs, with a panoramic view of Spencer Glacier and the surrounding mountains as a backdrop. Then travel down the pristine Placer River, with grand views of the mountains and hanging glaciers. Stop along the riverbank where the Glacier Discovery Train makes a special stop to pick up rafting guests.
