Creative Writing and Expression
Knitting Club

Each week the instructor will work the group to create different projects, we will have time for free build but the base of the class is for kids to work as a team to create Lego masterpieces. Saturday Morning Hip Hop Dance
Members: $50 Community: $65 Hip-Hop dance is very dynamic and improvisational in nature, with jumps, breakages, and rotations in the movements. Hip hop dancers frequently engage in formal or informal freestyle dance competitions. Hip hop dancing is considered a good exercise and helps the dancers to improve flexibility, to develop body balance, and to coordinate the muscles. Saturdays 11am ages 8-12
Honey Pots/Tots
Ages: 12-24 months with parent Fee: Y Member $50 Community $65 Here parents are given the opportunity to interact and support their child in fun activities. Children will develop coordination, balance, and peer socialization skills. Children will also work on some gymnastics skills on the floor, bars, beam, and tumble trak. Class structure is very minimal, with the expectation that parents keep their children with the teacher. Class length is 30 minutes. Mondays 11:00am
Cubs
Ages: 2-3 years with parent Fee: Y Member $50 Community $ 65 This introductory class features tumbling, climbing, jumping, and so much more. This class is for children who are both ready to be independent or still need to be accompanied by their parents. We will not only focus on gymnastics skills, but also touch on early childhood education. Numbers, letters, colors, and social skills will be taught and reinforced as well as focusing on children becoming independent from their parents. Class length is 30 minutes. Teddy Bear Tumblers
Ages: 3-4 years Fee: Y Member $50 Community $65 Teddy Bear Tumblers is the first step in our recreational gymnastics program. This class is a great way for children to develop basic elements through games, songs and activities where they run, jump, skip and hop! They will also work on gross motor skills and coordination through tumbles, balancing, and tricks. Class length is 30 minutes.

This class combines the fun in the pool and the gymnastics room! In the Gymnastics room, we focus on balance, coordination, strength and motor skills. In the pool, your child will work on water adjustment, the use of flotation devices, water safety, and having fun! The class starts with gymnastics followed by swimming, so we encourage children to come dressed in their bathing suits. Class length is 90 minutes. Thursday 3:30pm (Swim @ 4:30pm)

Ages: 4-12 years Fee: Y Member $60 Community $85 In this class, your child will develop balance, coordination, strength, and motor skills. They will be introduced to stretching and gymnastics skills in a fun and safe environment. They will learn gymnastics skills on the uneven bars, balance beam, tumbling, and tumble trak. Children will work on basic positions such as tuck, pike, straddle, squat and lunge. They will be introduced to the ideas of handstands, cartwheels, forward rolls, and backward rolls. YMCA Lifeguard Training
Ages: 16 years & up Fee: Y Member $275 Community $350 Students are trained in the nationally recognized YMCA Lifeguard Course including CPR, First Aid, 02 and AED. Certification is determined by successful completion of a comprehensive written exam and water test. Swimming skills are a prerequisite and attendance in all classes is mandatory. Ages: 18+ Co-Ed Fee: $350 per team The Cape Ann Y 18+ basketball league is co-ed this year! Gather up your co-workers, friends or even family and make a team in this fun, fast paced league. Each game is 45 minutes long refereed by a certified official. All levels and experience are welcome to play in this league. League starts in October! League runs 8 weeks on Thursday Nights including championship game.
