MISSION STATEMENT: The YMCA of the North Shore works side by side with our neighbors to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. When you join the Y or take part in our programs, you’re not just a member of a facility or a participant in a class; you are part of a cause. The YMCA of the North Shore is committed to education and the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our Y provides all children, adults and families, regardless of income, with opportunities to develop a healthy spirit, mind and body.

Henry is known in Gloucester for his theatre company the North Shore Folklore Theatre Company and productions such as “The Lobsta Crackah Ballet”, and enjoys using the history and folklore of our community to engage and excite young theatre artists. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY GIVING BACK AND PROVIDING SUPPORT TO OUR NEIGHBORS
GIVING
Did you know...? The Cape Ann YMCA is a charity. We are a non-profit organization focused on community and human services. 100% of your donation goes directly to those in need. Every dollar donated to our Y For All annual campaign is used to support local children, families and individuals through Y programs, membership and camp. Y For All is more than donors and dollars. Our annual campaign is a grassroots effort led by dozens of volunteers and businesses from our communities.
Help the Y make a difference. It’s never too late to help my community with a gift to the Y For All campaign. Swing by the front desk or visit: www.northshoreymca.org Thank you!
Meet our local 2013 Y For All Champions and join them in supporting the Y’s mission by visiting www.whataboutyou.org today! You can help “Champion” our cause by making a gift to our 2013 Y For All Annual campaign. 100% of your gift goes to your local Y and provides support to neighbors in need. Thank you for your generosity.

PLANNED GIVING The YMCA has recently launched a new planned giving initiative. Common planned gifts include a gift made through one’s will, life insurance policy, or retirement plan. All gifts benefit our endowment, a permanent fund used to support the Y. Gifts made to the endowment today will help support future generations. All those who make a gift will be invited to join the Triangle Society, our planned giving recognition society. If the Y has left a lasting impression on your life, please call Beth Francis at 978-921-1753 for more information.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY GIVING BACK AND PROVIDING SUPPORT TO OUR NEIGHBORS
VOLUNTEERISM When you choose to give your time and volunteer at the Y, you are truly changing lives. The affordable programs and services that the Y is able to offer depend on the efforts of our tireless volunteers. From teaching our young participants values such as sportsmanship, compassion and respect for themselves and others, to helping the entire family unit flourish by providing the encouragement and support they need, volunteers are an integral part of our organization. When you become a part of our Y volunteer community, you can choose from over 100 different roles that can truly change a life. Some opportunities are date and time specific, while others are ongoing (see roles listed below). No matter which opportunity appeals to you, know that someone’s life will be affected by the choice you make and the time you give. To learn more about volunteer roles, visit www.northshoreymca.org or contact Kim Lations, Y Volunteer Coordinator, at lationsk@northshoreymca.org.
