A NEVER ENDING SUMMER EXPERIENCE Camp Information for Parents (CONT.)

WHY PARENTS CHOOSE Y DAY CAMPS “The camp program is the BEST around! I am confident in putting my child into the hands of the fabulous counselors for the day knowing he will have a full program of activities instead of sitting around the house.” “My child has gained a great deal of confidence and self-awareness. He’s active already, but the camps have provided a foundation for him to be active and learn more about the outdoors and his physical abilities.” “My child is introverted. Being a part of this camp has helped her be open to new experiences and new people. She has shed some of that shyness that can sometimes be debilitating.” “My daughter returned home each day with the appreciation and knowledge of the environment around her. She enjoyed the physicality of activities available to her. The staff were attentive and made my daughter feel very welcomed.” “My kids finished up the summer with new friends and new experiences that they will remember for a long time to come. And they really enjoy getting to know the counselors and love bumping into them around the Y!” “My oldest has decided to continue next year so he can be a CIT, so he can be a positive role model for other children.” “With having Autism, I saw a huge change in my grandson...At STAR Camp, he felt like he fit in with the rest of the campers.”
