Children will develop coordination, balance and peer socialization skills through social interaction, music, games, parachute play and gymnastics circuits. The floor, TumbleTrak, trampoline and pit will be explored. Class structure is very minimal, with the expectation that parents keep their children with the teacher. Class length is 45 minutes. Ages: 8-14 years Fee: Y Member FREE Community FREE Learn how to make healthy food choices and find creative ways to be physically active throughout the day —all while having fun with friends! FIT-tastic Kids, a FREE program for Y and community members, follows a fun, interactive and engaging curriculum that builds the foundation of a healthy lifestyle. Participants receive a free 8-week youth membership as a part of the program in order to continue their healthy habits in their off-time. Teen Spinning Summer Session I and II

Each week’s session will be different and enhance agility, strength, endurance, and team building skills in a fun environment. Aikido

Studied in earnest, it is more than a form of self-defense, but a way to perfect one’s spirit. Aikido teaches self-defense without the use of strength or violence. COMMUNITY EDUCATION, VOLUNTEERISM & GIVING Swim Instructor Mentoring & Certification Course

Ages: 16 years & up Fee: Y Member $250 Community $350 This class is for those who would like to be a Swim Instructor and receive their certification with experience. While co-teaching our own swim classes you will be earning experience as a swim instructor followed by time in the classroom to understand the material and become a fully certified swim instructor. You will receive the following certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Oxygen Administration and the Swim Instructor certification. There is an online component to the class so be sure your email is current on our system. STER WIL BE BACK IN THE FALL

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Togetherhood

Togetherhood is the YMCA’s Signature Program for Social Responsibility. This program invites Y members to lead and participate in volunteer service projects that benefit the community where they live. Y Lifeguard Training

Ages: 16 years & up Fee: Y Member $290 Community $435 full course Fee: Y Member $175 Community $250 crossover Students are trained in the nationally recognized YMCA Lifeguard Course including CPR, First Aid, 02 and AED. Certification is determined by successful completion of a comprehensive written exam and water test. Swimming skills are a prerequisite and attendance in all classes is mandatory. Participants must be at least 16 years of age by the start of the session. Must attend all classes. Please be sure to update your email address as there is online pre course work that will be sent a week before. Road Race Series Volunteer Duties could include set-up, registration, water stop, split timer, finish line and clean up.

Duties could include greeting guests, answering phones, handing out towels and locker keys.

Swim Lesson Helper

Duties could include greeting parents and children, helping younger swimmers with bubbles and getting into the water, assisting instructor with other lesson-related tasks, both in and out of the pool.

Administrative Support

Duties could include mailings, data entry, filing, research, marketing and special projects.
