Sculpting with Recycled Materials
Youth Painting
Members:$65 Community: $80 This class would be designed to create basic sculpture using recycled materials we see in our every day. This course is to not only re-use materials that have otherwise been discarded but also create curiosity through what’s been wasted. Where things come from, how they are made, in addition to creating sculpture, with the older kids and teens an investigation into material, where, how why things are made. Block & Relief Printing Members:$65 Community:$80 There are many different ways of printing on paper and fabric. In this class we will begin by printing with everyday things to experiment with relief printing. Then move into simple things such as foam and potatoes prints. Spoon carving Members:$65 Community: $80 Drop In Fee:$15 per class Using local wood we will look at trees, their habitat, hardwood, softwood and talk about their uses, local landscape and the changes in trees. Saturday Morning Hip Hop Dance
Members: $50 Community: $65 Hip-Hop dance is very dynamic and improvisational in nature, with jumps, breakages, and rotations in the movements. Hip hop dancers frequently engage in formal or informal freestyle dance competitions. Hip hop dancing is considered a good exercise and helps the dancers to improve flexibility, to develop body balance, and to coordinate the muscles. Saturdays 11am ages 8-12
Honey Pots/Tots
Ages: 12-24 months with parent Fee: Y Member $50 Community $65 Here parents are given the opportunity to interact and support their child in fun activities. Children will develop coordination, balance, and peer socialization skills. Children will also work on some gymnastics skills on the floor, bars, beam, and tumble trak. Class structure is very minimal, with the expectation that parents keep their children with the teacher. Class length is 30 minutes. Tuesdays 10:30am
Cubs
Ages: 2-3 years with parent Fee: Y Member $50 Community $ 65 This introductory class features tumbling, climbing, jumping, and so much more. This class is for children who are both ready to be independent or still need to be accompanied by their parents. We will not only focus on gymnastics skills, but also touch on early childhood education. Numbers, letters, colors, and social skills will be taught and reinforced as well as focusing on children becoming independent from their parents. Class length is 30 minutes. Tuesdays 11:00am
Teddy Bear Tumblers
Ages: 3-4 years Fee: Y Member $50 Community $65 Teddy Bear Tumblers is the first step in our recreational gymnastics program. This class is a great way for children to develop basic elements through games, songs and activities where they run, jump, skip and hop! They will also work on gross motor skills and coordination through tumbles, balancing, and tricks. Class length is 30 minutes. Tuesdays 11:30am
Flip N’ Float
Ages: 4-7 years Fee: Y Member $98 Community $144 If your child loves gymnastics and swimming, then Flip N’ Float was designed for them! This class combines the fun in the pool and the gymnastics room! In the Gymnastics room, we focus on balance, coordination, strength and motor skills. In the pool, your child will work on water adjustment, the use of flotation devices, water safety, and having fun! The class starts with gymnastics followed by swimming, so we encourage children to come dressed in their bathing suits. Class length is 90 minutes. Thursday 3:30pm (Swim @ 4:30pm)

Ages: 4-12 years Fee: Y Member $60 Community $85 In this class, your child will develop balance, coordination, strength, and motor skills. They will be introduced to stretching and gymnastics skills in a fun and safe environment. They will learn gymnastics skills on the uneven bars, balance beam, tumbling, and tumble trak. Children will work on basic positions such as tuck, pike, straddle, squat and lunge. They will be introduced to the ideas of handstands, cartwheels, forward rolls, and backward rolls. Service Learning Trips Coming into our fifth year of leading Y Teen Service Trips, what started as a “one shot deal”, has evolved into a major component of our work with teens throughout our YMCA. In 2010, we took fifteen teens to New Orleans to help the rebuilding efforts in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina & Rita. Through the experiences on that trip, that were universally described by our teens as “profound”, life-changing” and “awesome”, we were impelled to expand our thinking, and thus our scope of service.

The focus of the mini swim team will be on stroke development, technique, and racing starts and turns. The class focuses on stroke technique for freestyle and backstroke and includes racing starts, turns and streamlining. Grades: 3 & up Fee: Y Member $85 Community $130 Y Sharks Silver Group is designed for swimmers who are looking to expand on stroke technique learned in the Bronze Group, with a focus on the butterfly and breaststroke techniques. This class is for middle school swimmers who want to swim in a more formal class with their peers but not commit to a year round swim team. The focus will be on stroke mechanics, starts, turns and aerobic conditioning. All new swimmers must be evaluated by competitive aquatics staff prior to participation. Class length 45 minutes. YMCA Lifeguard Training
Ages: 16 years & up Fee: Y Member $275 Community $350 Students are trained in the nationally recognized YMCA Lifeguard Course including CPR, First Aid, 02 and AED. Certification is determined by successful completion of a comprehensive written exam and water test. Swimming skills are a prerequisite and attendance in all classes is mandatory.
