Pre-Team (Invitation Only)
Ages: 5 years & up This is a pre-competitive program for girls ages 5 and up. Participants must have completed Sr. Gymnast IV, or have been recommended by an instructor. Emphasis is placed on mastery of Level 3 skills, flexibility, strength and balance. Pre-Team gymnasts will learn a routine to perform at gym shows. Competitive Team Program
Ages: 5-18 years Currently the Gym Stars Gymnastics Team consists of a Level 4-7 Competitive Team. The gymnasts in this program are required to order a team uniform that will be worn at meets and events. The competitive season is November through July. Gymnasts will have the opportunity to qualify for State and Regional Competitions. Youth and Teen Orientation
Ages: 12 and 13 years Fee: Member Benefit This program is intended for young adults who are ready to start working out, but are still too young to be on their own in the fitness center. Over the course of 3 separate orientations, our wellness coaches will work with your child in order to get them adequately trained on each piece of equipment. Each orientation will last 45 minutes in length. At the end of this orientation program, your child will graduate with the ability to use the fitness facility on their own. YMCA Climbing Instruction YMCA Climbing is a great way to provide your child with physical activity, self-confidence, and the opportunity to socialize with peers in a safe and positive environment. Haverhill Pee Wee Floor Hockey League
Ages: 3-Kindergaten Eight Week Fee: Y Members $60 Community $80 2nd child Fee: Y Members $40 Community $65 Bring your preschooler down to the Haverhill YMCA for our Pee Wee Floor Hockey League. Children will be instructed on the basic fundamentals of floor hockey, including stick handling, shooting, passing, scoring and teamwork while using age appropriate equipment. Players will be placed on teams lead by volunteer coaches. Teams will meet for an hour each week for thirty minutes of practice and thirty minutes of game play through the 8 week session. All players are asked to wear shin guards (soccer style or other) during all floor hockey game play. If your child wishes to bring their own hockey stick it must have a plastic blade. The Haverhill YMCA will also provide mouth guards for all players. At the conclusion of the season we will have a post game celebration. Women’s Floor Hockey League
Fee: Y Member $60 Community $85 The Haverhill YMCA will be hosting a Women’s 30+ Floor Hockey League this winter. The league will begin January 11th and run for ten weeks including playoffs. Games will be held on Sunday evenings at the Plaistow Community YMCA. Players are able to register as a team or individually. Teams must have at least six players and no more than ten players on a team. Team shirts are included. The team that finishes in first place will receive a championship trophy. Fee: Y Member $65 Community $75 One Time Jersey Fee: $15 This league is designed for adults who are looking for a fun and competitive league. Season will last 10 weeks plus playoffs. The season will begin January 12th. Teams must be paid in full before season starts. Rosters may not have more than 10 players. Roster must be submitted by January 1st. Players must attend at least 6 regular season games to be eligible for playoffs. Games will be held on Tuesday nights each week. There will be an additional charge for team jerseys. Men Legends 50+ Adult Basketball League Member $120

The Plaistow Community YMCA will be hosting a Men’s 50+ Basketball League. Games will run for ten weeks with two to three weeks of playoffs. Games will be held on Monday evenings at Plaistow Community YMCA. Players who wish to play must attend a mandatory evaluation night on Monday January 12th from 6:30-8:30pm at the Plaistow Community YMCA. Players are only able to register as a free agents and are then placed on a team through a blind draft. League fee must be paid in full prior to the start of the season. Team rosters and schedules will be sent out prior to the start of the season. Players must attend at least six of the ten regular season games. YMCA Lifeguard Training
Ages: 16 years & up Fee: Y Member $310 Community $380 Students are trained in the nationally recognized YMCA Lifeguard Course including CPR, First Aid, 02 and AED. Certification is determined by successful completion of a comprehensive written exam and water test. Swimming skills are a prerequisite and attendance in all classes is mandatory. Participants must be at least 16 years of age by the start of the session and must attend all classes. Please be sure to update your email address as there is online pre-course work. Fee: Y Member $50 Community $100 Students are trained in the nationally recognized ASHI CPR, First Aid, 02 and AED courses. Certifications are determined by successful completion of a comprehensive written exam and being able to perform all required skills. Each certification is run separately. Each class is about 3 hours long. Please remember to bring donated books to our Got Books container located in the Verizon parking lot. All books donated will provide funds to support youth and families of the Haverhill YMCA. We also accept any clothing donations to help support and provide for those in need within our community.
YMCA Educational Support The Haverhill YMCA is a charity. We are a non-profit organization focused on community and human services. 100% of your donation goes directly to those in need. Every dollar donated to our Y For All annual campaign is used to support local children, families and individuals through Y programs, membership and camp. Y For All is more than donors and dollars. Our annual campaign is a grassroots effort led by dozens of volunteers and businesses from our communities. We have early education programs that serve infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We also have after school care in five Haverhill schools and also at the YMCA. Through the support of our Annual Campaign we are able to give all kids a safe place to go both during the day and before and after school.
