WELCOME! For the fifth consecutive year, we are proud to dedicate our annual golf outing to the memory of Lou Ferraro. Lou was a man who embodied the core values the Y MCA strives to uphold: honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. This was most clearly present in Lou’s role as a devoted husband to Luella and a dedicated father to Jim, John and Kim. Today is a celebration of Lou’s life and the positive impact he left on so many in our community. All proceeds from today’s event will directly benefit the YMCA of Greenwich “Y For All” Annual Giving Campaign to fund child-care, after-school programs, scholarships, senior programs and special needs programs. Two color alt
The Y’s mission is to bring together and strengthen the community through programs and services that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all men, women and children. We are touched to have Lou’s name forever linked to our association. Your participation in today’s special event will help make the YMCA of Greenwich one of the most vibrant and exciting community centers in the country. Thank you for joining us and helping us serve the community

YMCA EXCELLENCE AWARD
2013 RECIPIENT Hilary Pearl The Lou Ferraro YMCA Excellence Award honors individuals whose impressive volunteer work directly impacts the Y. Their efforts have reached above and beyond, supporting the Y’s mission to create programming that encourages healthy living and provides opportunities for all in our community access to them. We are honored to have Hilary Pearl as this year’s recipient. As a devoted Y volunteer since 2000, Hilary has put her executive coaching and human resources skills to excellent use for our organization. Hilary spearheaded many initiatives while serving on the Board including taking a leadership role on the Capital Campaign Steering Committee, chairing the Nominations Committee and serving on the Executive Committee. Hilary joined the Y because of its mission to be a place of inclusion and community and reached out to many colleagues and business leaders to encourage them to become new friends
of and volunteers for the Y. She now serves on the YMCA Alumni Network Committee, helping to find ways to connect prior Board members with the current Y community. As the Founding Partner of Pearl Associates LLC, Hilary helps privatesector and non-profit clients improve individual, team, and organizational performance through human resources planning systems, organization development, and individual coaching of senior executives. She and her husband John live in Old Greenwich and are thrilled when their children--Alexandra, a second year student in Pepperdine’s Master’s of Clinical Psychology program, and Caroline, a rising senior at Kenyon College—are home for summer and holiday visits. Join us in thanking Hilary for her years of fantastic service and dedication to our Y. She truly embodies the spirit of the Lou Ferraro YMCA Excellence Award.
