GENERAL INFORMATION OUR MISSION To inspire, nurture, and strengthen culturally vibrant communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
MEMBER GET A MEMBER It’s a win-win at the Y! When you refer a friend, and they sign up for a Y membership, you’ll receive one month free membership for yourself. Gain a workout buddy and money in your pocket. Pick up a Member-Get-A-Member guest pass at Member Services.
MEMBERSHIP CARD Your membership card is valuable and important. A valid membership card or photo ID is required every time you enter the Y. If you lose your card, you can get a replacement for a small fee. You can also create a digital card to scan at the branch with our mobile app.
AWAY PROGRAM The AWAY (Always Welcome at YMCAs) program allows you to access Y’s around the country when visiting from out-of-town. Just show your valid Y membership card. This program is good for 12 visits per calendar year. Y’s in the Puget Sound Triangle Membership area are not considered part of the AWAY program for Triangle Members.
GUESTS Your membership includes 12 complimentary guest passes per year please use them! Each pass, stored electronically on your membership account, is good for one redemption at any branch of the YMCA of Snohomish County, and admits one person or one family to join you at the Y. At busy times, the Y reserves the right to limit guest usage.
PROGRAM REFUND GUIDELINES The following guidelines are for programs that do not have required deposits (which are non-refundable). Special restrictions apply to Camp, Child Care, Membership and other programs that are clearly stated in their brochures and registrations. Program Directors have the final say to make any allowances other than the following:
All guests must present photo identification and adhere to facility guidelines. A guest may use Y facilities up to three times in one calendar year with a member. Thereafter, a day pass or membership must be purchased. FINANCIAL AID Unable to afford the full cost of YMCA memberships and programs? Apply confidentially for financial assistance. Forms are located in the lobby and are also available on our website. Member Services staff are available to assist you with your request. PAYMENT OPTIONS Bank draft and credit card payments are a convenient way to pay membership fees and ensure your membership is current. New membership activation requires a one-month payment of membership dues and pro-rated monthly fees at time of enrollment as well as banking account information or a credit card. If your banking or credit card information changes, please let us know at least 15 days before your draft, or you may be charged a $30 NSF fee for nonpayment. LEAVE OF ABSENCE Members may have their membership held in abeyance once per calendar year upon 15 days advance written notice if membership dues are current. A minimum abeyance of 60 days and a maximum abeyance of 120 days is permitted. Membership will be automatically activated after a term of abeyance expires.

We pledge to acknowledge each comment and respond appropriately. If you prefer to email or telephone your comment, please contact the Membership Director. GET STARTED An easy first step to getting started at the Y is to contact Member Services for a free wellness connection within your first 30 days of membership. A trained Y professional will meet with you to discuss your goals, answer any questions you may have, and recommend appropriate wellness programs for you.

GENERAL INFORMATION FACILITY GUIDELINES • Ages 6 and under must have direct supervision at all times. • Ages 7-11 must be accompanied by a supervising individual who
remains in the building. • Ages 12 & 13 are not required to be accompanied by a
supervising individual but are subject to age restrictions for specific areas. • Ages 14 and older are considered adults only for the purpose of
use of the facilities and programs. ELECTRONIC USAGE GUIDELINES Due to the advances in mobile and video technology, and for the privacy and protection of all our members, the YMCA of Snohomish County asks that members, participants, and guests adhere to the following guidelines.
RACQUETBALL COURT RESERVATIONS Courts may be reserved up to a day in advance by calling Member Services or in person. Reservations are encouraged to guarantee your desired time. There is a one hour reservation limit per person during peak usage times. Racquets, balls, and eye protection can be checked out with your membership card. ATTIRE As a family organization, the YMCA of Snohomish County encourages members and their guests to maintain an appearance that is not disruptive, distracting, nor offensive in any regard and to wear attire that does not present health or safety concerns. Accordingly, Y staff may restrict appearance and attire with special consideration for those specific issues. These guidelines are meant for example purposes and may not be inclusive of all expectations.
• Use of electronic devices is not permitted - at any time - in Y
locker rooms and youth program areas. • As a courtesy to other members, please set phones to silent while
working out. • Please limit phone conversations to the lobby or non-workout
areas. • Taking photos or video without permission from the Executive
Director is not permitted on Y premises. FOOD AND BEVERAGES No food or drink other than water is permitted in the pool, workout and gym areas. SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENT In keeping with the Y’s health and wellness advocacy, smoking is not permitted on Y’s facility or grounds. All YMCA’s of Snohomish County properties are smoke-free environments.
Not permitted Clothing and jewelry that carry sexual, vulgar, or offensive messages or references, including pictures of the use of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and gang affiliation.
Any apparel item that can be used as a weapon.
Jeans are not permitted in workout areas.

Eye guards are required in racquetball courts.
Proper swim attire is required in the pool and spa areas.
LOCKERS Lockers are available for day use by members and guests. You must bring your own lock and remove it at the end of each visit. Items left overnight will be removed from the locker room and placed in the lost and found. Always secure your belongings. We recommend that you not bring valuables into the facility; the Y is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Security lockers for small items are available at no cost. PARKING Parking is available in our large lot. Please be courteous of others and do not block the sidewalk, walkways or adjacent parking spaces. Always lock your vehicle and do not leave any valuables in your car.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES FACILITY MEMBERSHIP Get full access to fitness centers at all six YMCAs in Snohomish County with a Facility Membership. Choose from a wide menu of free group exercise classes, enjoy lap and recreational swimming, and receive a free wellness orientation when you join. And as a facility member, you’ll be eligible for priority registration and reduced fees on specialty classes and programs for your whole family. PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP If you’re not already a Y Facility Member and want to participate in programs like summer camps, youth sports, swimming lessons and child care, you’ll need an annual Program Membership. You’ll receive the same great level of quality and caring for which the Y is known, but without access to wellness centers and other amenities offered through a full Facility Membership. COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP Belonging is a philosophy at the heart of the Y. Everyone in the community is considered a free Community Member and is welcome to participate in key community events and programs such as fun runs, health fairs, and community education. MY Y IS NOW EVERY Y IN WASHINGTON We want to encourage members to use the Y as often as they can. Sometimes, it’s more convenient for members to use a Y in a different location when travelling, near a workplace, or in another region. Now, full facility/full privilege YMCA members can use other Y facilities throughout the state. See website for program details.

YOUTH SPORTS ROOKIE SPORTS Make new friends while learning basic skills, rules and sportsmanship with an emphasis on participation and fun! All Rookie Sports include six one-hour meetings consisting of structured practice and games. Children build confidence and develop teamwork and social skills. Parents are encouraged to get involved with their child’s love of sports by volunteer coaching, refereeing and providing snacks. FALL SOCCER | AGES 3-8 Kids learn the fundamentals of soccer in a fun atmosphere, while cultivating the values, skill and relationship that lead to positive behaviors and better health.
TAE KWON DO Learn traditional martial arts and self-defense moves with experienced instructors in a family oriented environment of caring and mutual respect. Weekly themes and field trips offer opportunities for children to learn about themselves and discover the world around them. Under the supervision of our experienced staff, children engage in a variety of hands-on activities to develop, create, and explore.
Mini camps provide social interaction, hands-on activities, exploration, and fun! Campers must be able to use the bathroom independently.
To meet the needs of each child, YMCA Discovery Camp is statelicensed child care divided into age-appropriate groups. Each camper becomes part of a small group, supervised by a trained counselor. Dates: June 27-August 31 Cost: $195 FM / $220 PM Program hours: 8:30 am-4 pm. Complimentary extended care is available 6 am-8:30 and 4-6:30 pm Camp Locations: Unless otherwise stated, campers must be dropped off/picked up at the site they will be attending. This fast-paced, fun adventure program combines a variety of exciting outdoor excursions. Get out of the house, hang out with friends, and visit new and exciting places. SWIM LESSON PROGRESSION PARENT / CHILD (6-36 MONTHS)
YOUTH SWIM LESSONS (6-12 YEARS)
SKIPPER Infant and toddler water adjustment class enhances motor coordination and social skills, and includes an introduction to water safety. Parent and child have the opportunity to spend quality time together. Child must be accompanied by a supervising adult in the water.
POLLIWOG This is the beginning level for school-age children. It gets children acquainted with the pool, comfortable in the water, introduces the use of floatation devices, and floating. By the end of this level they should know the front crawl stroke, side and backstroke. Children have more confidence by the end of this level and should feel comfortable blowing bubbles with their face in the water.
PRE-SCHOOL SWIM LESSONS (3-5 YEARS) PIKE Prerequisite: Child should be potty trained and able to go in the water without supervision of a parent. This level helps children develop safe pool behavior, adjust to the water, and develop independent movement in the water. It is designed for new swimmers, teaching basic paddle stroke and kicking skills, pool safety, proper use of IFDs and PFDs, and comfort with holding their face in the water while blowing bubbles and swimming. EEL Prerequisite: Completion of Pike Class or consent of Aquatics Director. This level is for children who are comfortable in the water, including blowing bubbles with their face in the water. They are taught to kick, float, and perform the progressive crawl stroke. They also learn basic boating safety and use of PFDs. Children can swim 15 feet without assistance at the end of this level. RAY Prerequisite: Completion of Eel Class or consent of Aquatics Director. Children at this level work on refining front, back and side strokes with face in and breathing. Breaststroke is also introduced along with more advanced water safety skills. Children can swim 20 feet without assistance by the end of this level. STARFISH Prerequisite: Completion of Ray Class or consent of Aquatics Director. Children continue to refine their strokes including front crawl with side breathing, elementary backstroke with glide, back crawl with straight arms, breaststroke with glide, and sidestroke. They also learn underwater swimming skills. Children can swim 40 feet without assistance at the end of this level.

GUPPY Prerequisite: Completion of Polliwog and/or Ray and/or Starfish class or consent of Aquatics Director. Children in this level are able to swim at least 20 feet on front, back, and side. They are introduced to the backstroke, sidestroke, breaststroke, and elementary backstroke. Children can swim a length of the pool without assistance at the end of this level. MINNOW Prerequisite: Completion of Guppy Class or consent of Aquatics Director. For children able to swim independently for a distance of 25 yards with the following strokes: front crawl with side breathing, basic elementary backstroke, back crawl with strait arms, and rudimentary sidestroke and breaststroke. Water safety skills are also emphasized. FISH Prerequisite: Completion of Guppy Class or consent of Aquatic Coordinator. At this point, students work to perform the crawl stroke, elementary backstroke, backstroke and sidestroke, with turns. They are introduced to the butterfly. They continue to work on refining and combining skills while building endurance. FLYING FISH At this level students should have refined front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke and be able to swim 100 yards continuously, with the exclusion of butterfly. They will also be introduced to competitive swimming skills. Students will continue to learn water safety and rescue skills.
TEEN/ADULT SWIM LESSONS (12-17 AND 18+) TEEN/ADULT Classes focus on the individual goals and needs of each student. Develop comfort in the water, introduce air exchange, floating on front and back and learn basic crawl stroke and other basic strokes. Introduces the backstroke, sidestroke, breaststroke and elementary backstroke, with emphasis on technique to increase endurance.

GENERAL WATER FITNESS WATER ACTIVITIES GROUP SWIM LESSONS Learn water safety and survival skills while developing proper swim strokes. Various times and days available, see the swim lesson schedule for details. Ages 6 months+ Times/Dates/Cost varies per class, see flyer or web for details. PRIVATE LESSONS Gain skills and increase your confidence in the water with these individualized lessons. Whether learning the basics or developing enhanced swim techniques, participants can benefit from this flexible alternative to group swim lessons. To register, complete an interest form at Member Services. You will be contacted with schedule availability by the end of the month. Lessons are scheduled on a monthly basis. GENERAL WATER FITNESS AOA (ACTIVE OLDER ADULT) FITNESS A lighter fitness workout designed especially for the young at heart. Also perfect for those recovering from injuries and pre - or post-natal mothers. All ages of adults are welcome!
POOL GUIDELINES APPROPRIATE POOL AND SPA ATTIRE A swim suit is required for all participants. Shirts and tank tops are not allowed unless they are made of polyester, nylon or spandex. Jeans and cotton clothing are prohibited. Street shoes are not allowed on the pool deck. OPEN AND FAMILY SWIM All children under age 12 who do not pass a height test will be subject to a swim test. Any child that receives a red wristband or is 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult 14+ in the water at all times. Lifejackets (PFD’s) are available for use but any child in a PFD must stay within 5 feet of the supervising adult. One child per adult may be without a PFD, but still accompanied in the water within 5 feet. All lifejackets must be Coast Guard approved.

AQUA BLAST High intensity water fitness class utilizing training techniques such as circuit, water kickboxing, buoyance, and water resistance training. This class focuses on increasing both cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Come expedient to work hard and have a blast! AQUA ZUMBA® Join a licensed ZUMBA® Instructor as they lead workouts poolside. Enjoy the Latin-Infused rhythms and motions, and get a full cardio workout! All adults are welcome. WATER FITNESS A water fitness workout designed for all levels. Classes include warm up, cardiovascular endurance, muscle toning and stretching. All adults are welcome. SILVERSNEAKERS® SPLASH An aerobic class in the water designed by the popular SilverSneakers® program. This class provides the combined benefits of an aerobic and a no-impact workout, using the water as resistance to increase muscle tone. All ages of adults are welcome! SWIM FIT Increase endurance, refine your strokes, meet other swimmers and learn from a skilled instructor! Register monthly or pay for six months at a time.

SWIM TEST The swim test for Open and Family Swim is an opportunity for the lifeguard to evaluate a child’s stroke and endurance. The child must swim the length of the pool independently, without touching the bottom, and put their face in the water for the majority of the test. For kids under age 12. The lap swim test is 50 yards of proficient crawl stroke, demonstrating side breathing, and a strong knowledge of lap lane etiquette. For kids under age 14. LAP SWIM GUIDELINES Lap Swim is reserved for individuals swimming laps. Participants under age 14 must pass a lap swim test to participate. During Lap Swim three lanes are available for laps and the open area of the pool may be used for water walking. With the exception of special events, at least one lap lane will be available at all times. When only one lane is open due to programming it will be designated lap swim only; with no water walking is available at this time for safety reasons.

HEALTHY LIVING HEALTHY LIVING PROGRAMS ACT! (ACTIVELY CHANGING TOGETHER!) ACT! is a free program, presented in partnership with the YMCA of Snohomish County, Seattle Children’s Hospital, The Everett Clinic and Providence Physicians Group. ACT! offers well-established nutrition and exercise principles that your family can put into action right away. These new habits enhance your child’s health and strengthen family bonds. With parents taking the lead, families get motivated and enjoy results together. Children must be referred by a health care provider and have a BMI ≥ 85th percentile. LIVESTRONG® AT THE YMCA Continue your journey of cancer recovery at the Y. Studies show that exercise improves long-term survival and quality of life by reducing fatigue, enhancing self-esteem, improving fitness and reducing stress. You can be in treatment or out of treatment to participate. Please register at Member Services. RECREATIONAL SWIM Special swim times for our community members with disabilities! YMCA’S DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM Change today for a healthier future! If you are at risk for type 2 diabetes, the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program provides a supportive environment where you can work with others in a small group setting to learn how to adopt healthy habits to reduce your chances of developing the disease. This program, which is led by a trained Lifestyle Coach in a classroom setting, is delivered over a 12-month period, beginning with 16 weekly sessions followed by monthly maintenance. You will learn strategies for eating healthier, increasing your physical activity and making other changes that will improve your overall well-being.

BARRE This invigorating class is a total body fusion workout of yoga, Pilates and strength training.
BASIC STRENGTH TRAINING Designed for any age, this is a hands-on class to help you learn proper form, technique and safety cues. Benefits of weight training will increase your lean muscle tissue, increase metabolism, improve balance and posture, prevent osteoporosis and improve your overall fitness. BELLY DANCE Students will develop and refine basic to advanced Belly Dance moves, then integrate them into dance combinations. Emphasis is on fun, technique, isolation exercises, gentle cardio, and a warm up designed to stretch and strengthen the muscles unique to this dance form. No dance experience required. Ages 14 and up.
CARDIO CORE A combination of floor and step cardio fitness drills with a core focus, using a variety of equipment. CARDIO KICKBOXING A combination of aerobics and martial art training. Learn basic Martial Arts and shadowboxing moves. CARDIO KICKBOXING/INTERVAL A combination of aerobics and martial art training. Learn basic Martial Arts and shadowboxing moves along with muscular strength and endurance conditioning. CIRCUIT TRAINING Provides a total body workout that includes resistance and cardiovascular training by using a variety of exercise methods and equipment. CYCLE (PURE) This low impact, high energy class, utilizing specialized indoor bikes, will burn calories and build muscle endurance and strength. Adaptable to any fitness level. Come along for the ride! FIT FOREVER AEROBICS These classes are designed at a slower pace for those with mobility issues, coming off an injury, or just beginning to exercise. PERSONAL PACE YOGA This is a chair-based yoga class designed for people with physical limitations or injury recovery. PILATES Improve strength and flexibility through exercises that enhance your posture and core strength. (Exercises are conducted from the floor.) SILVERSNEAKERSÂŽ CLASSIC Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head-to-toe stretching and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.

TRY IT TODAY! This class will blast all your muscles with a high-rep weight training workout. Using an adjustable barbell, weight plates, and body weight, this workout combines squats, lunges, presses, and curls, with functional integrated exercises.
The Marysville Y’s new Summer Walk Fit Club is an onsite walking group, utilizing the Y’s back field, 8 ½ laps = 1 mile, to allow for Child Care use and convenient facility access. The club’s goal is to encourage walking workouts, community, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
TRX® The TRX Suspension Trainer® is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your body weight to perform hundreds of exercises.
YOGA Incorporate static and dynamic flexibility movements using postures and positions to increase flexibility, reduce stress and improve strength and posture. All classes end with a 5 minute restorative relaxation period.
Make it a HIIT challenge or just work on getting in your steps, each week participants can individualize their workouts in a social environment. The club will meet for a 40 minute walk, 15 minutes of core/balance/body resistance work, and finish off with a group cool down. All fitness levels are welcome. Y volunteers give men, women, and children of all ages and from all walks of life the resources and support the need to be healthy, confident, connected and secure. VOLUNTEERS OF THE Y • Lead our Boards of Directors and branch committees. • Raise funds to ensure the Y is accessible to all members of the community through Annual Campaign. • Motivate and support youth through coaching our sports teams and teaching many of our classes. • Extend a hand to help adults who want to do more, be more or live healthier through healthy living programs. • Participate in opportunities to give back and support neighbors through food drives, community events and more!
