RAY Prerequisite: Completion of Eel Class or consent of Aquatics Director. Children at this level work on refining front, back and side strokes with face in and breathing. Breaststroke is also introduced along with more advanced water safety skills. Children can swim 20 feet without assistance by the end of this level. STARFISH Prerequisite: Completion of Ray Class or consent of Aquatics Director. Children continue to refine their strokes including front crawl with side breathing, elementary backstroke with glide, back crawl with straight arms, breaststroke with glide, and sidestroke.
