GENERAL INFORMATION OUR MISSION To inspire, nurture, and strengthen culturally vibrant communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. MEMBERSHIP CARD Your membership card is valuable and important. A valid membership card or photo ID is required every time you enter the Y. If you lose your card, you can get a replacement for a small fee. You can also use the mobile app as a way to access the facility, just link the app to your membership card! GUESTS Your membership includes unlimited guest passes per year. Each pass is good for one redemption at any branch of the YMCA of Snohomish County, and admits one person or one family to join you at the Y. A guest may use Y facilities up to three times in one calendar year with a member. Thereafter, a day pass or membership must be purchased. YOUTH SPORTS SPORTS LEAGUES The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning a new skill or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out. The YMCA approach to Youth Sports is different from many leagues. It’s about kids being kids, kids having fun, kids staying healthy, and adult volunteers working together to make our community great. We focus on the four YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Every child gets equal playing time and we encourage fair play, positive competition and family involvement. Our goal is to enable each player to excel in that other game we’re all familiar with: the game of life. Our sports leagues are coached by volunteers. If you are interested in coaching one of our teams, please indicate so on your child’s registration form or ask about coaching at the Welcome Center.

INDOOR SOCCER AGES 3-9

Game times will vary each week. 3/4 and 5/6 year old divisions will play games in the morning-early afternoon and the 7/9 year old division will play in the afternoon. Games will be held at the Mill Creek YMCA.

YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE Ages 5-Grade 4 Our basketball league is designed to develop fundamental basketball skills while learning teamwork, strategy and sportsmanship. Skills taught include passing, shooting, dribbling and the rules of the game. The focus of the league is to have fun, meet new friends and play basketball in a non -competitive environment. Teams will practice once a week and play a game on Fridays or Saturdays

Location:

Mill Creek YMCA

Season begins January 6

Facility Member: $50 Program Member: $55 Community Member: $65 WHY INDOOR SOCCER? Indoor soccer is just like soccer played outside, with one exception: it's played in a gym and the advantages: 1st: you're playing soccer in a controlled environment, meaning no RAIN.

2nd: you are much closer to the action. You get to see everything as it happens and as it develops. 3rd: the playing field-the court--is shorter and narrower, and of course the walls, which give the players, even more of a chance to score because of the bounces and nonstop action!

Registration opens October 1 JR. YMCA BASKETBALL Ages 3-4 Help your child to discover their passions! This Saturday Jr. YMCA Basketball program introduces children ages 3 & 4 years old to basketball in a positive and non-competitive environment. Sessions are fun and structured with a focus on learning basic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while developing healthy habits and self-esteem in young children. The session is eight week with Saturday practices/games scheduled. All teams led by volunteer coaches.

Season begins January 11 Registration opens October 1
