MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Hello and thank you for being a part of the Mill Creek YMCA community. Winter in the great Northwest often brings us indoors for our activities and exercise. At the Y, swimming, sports, exercise and many different programs throughout the branch and community keep us active, safe and healthy through this season. Winter is also the time for the Y’s Annual Campaign when we raise funds to support those in need throughout our community. Our 2018 fundraising goal is $175,000 and I invite everyone to participate by volunteering, making a donation, or participating in one of our many fundraising events throughout the next few months. Everything the Y does is in service of making individuals and communities— or “us”—better, this why it’s important for you to get involved and make “us” stronger. More than just a gym, your YMCA is an important cause and makes a difference in strengthening our community. We provide needed financial assistance to children, families and seniors. The money we raise is used for program scholarships allowing everyone to participate at the Y. Your participation would be greatly appreciated! I look forward to continuing to serve and meet your needs as a YMCA member, as always; my door is always open for comments and suggestions and feedback.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION NOW IT’S EASIER THAN EVER TO JOIN THE Y! Membership in the Y is a special thing. Be a part of a leading nonprofit organization for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The YMCA of Snohomish County is a membership organization and anyone can join. So, with simple monthly dues, you have no contracts or minimum stays to worry about and no sales pitches to endure. Just quality, healthy programs that your whole family can enjoy.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES FACILITY MEMBERSHIP Get full access to fitness centers at all five YMCAs in Snohomish County with a Facility Membership. Choose from a wide menu of free group exercise classes, enjoy lap and recreational swimming, and receive a free wellness orientation when you join. And as a facility member, you’ll be eligible for priority registration and reduced fees on specialty classes and programs for your whole family. PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP If you’re not already a Y Facility Member and want to participate in programs like summer camps, youth sports, swimming lessons and child care, you’ll need an annual Program Membership. You’ll receive the same great level of quality and caring for which the Y is known, but without access to wellness centers and other amenities offered through a full Facility Membership. COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP Belonging is a philosophy at the heart of the Y. Everyone in the community is considered a free Community Member and is welcome to participate in key community events and programs such as fun runs, health fairs, and community education. MY Y IS NOW EVERY Y IN WASHINGTON We want to encourage members to use the Y as often as they can. Sometimes, it’s more convenient for members to use a Y in a different location when travelling, near a workplace, or in another region. Now, full facility/full privilege YMCA members can use other Y facilities throughout the state. See website for program details. GENERAL INFORMATION OUR MISSION To inspire, nurture, and strengthen culturally vibrant communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. MEMBERSHIP CARD Your membership card is valuable and important. A valid membership card or photo ID is required every time you enter the Y. If you lose your card, you can get a replacement for a small fee. You can also use the mobile app as a way to access the facility, just link the app to your membership card! GUESTS Your membership includes 12 complimentary guest passes per year please use them! Each pass, stored electronically on your membership account, is good for one redemption at any branch of the YMCA of Snohomish County, and admits one person or one family to join you at the Y. At busy times, the Y reserves the right to limit guest usage. All guests must present photo identification and adhere to facility guidelines. A guest may use Y facilities up to three times in one calendar year with a member. Thereafter, a day pass or membership must be purchased. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Unable to afford the full cost of YMCA memberships and programs? Apply confidentially for financial assistance, forms are located in the lobby and are also available on our website. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for processing once you turn in your completed application. Please note that if approved, financial assistance is not retroactive and only applies to future membership dues and/or program registration(s). Welcome Center staff are available to assist you with your request. PAYMENT OPTIONS Bank draft and credit card payments are a convenient way to pay membership fees and ensure your membership is current. New membership activation requires a one-month payment of membership dues and pro-rated monthly fees at time of enrollment as well as banking account information or a credit card. If your banking or credit card information changes, please let us know at least 15 days before your draft, or you may be charged a $30 NSF fee for nonpayment. Annual payments are perfect for members who want to pay for their membership one year at a time. This option requires payment of 12 months at time of enrollment.

AWAY PROGRAM The AWAY (Always Welcome at YMCAs) program allows you to access Ys around the country when visiting from an out-of-town. Just show your valid Y membership card. This program is good for 12 visits per calendar year. LEAVE OF ABSENCE Members may have their membership held in abeyance once per calendar year upon 15 days advance written notice if membership dues are current. All members on Leave of Absence will be charged a convenience fee of $7 per month for the duration of the Leave of Absence. A minimum abeyance of 30 days and a maximum abeyance of 120 days is permitted. Membership will be automatically activated after a term of abeyance expires. Please visit the Welcome Center for more information. SILVERSNEAKERSŽ, SILVER & FIT, & OPTUM MEMBERSHIPS Ages 65+ Many insurance plans have a fitness benefit which will cover part or all of a YMCA membership. Some plans carried by Humana, United Health Care, Group Health, Regence Blue Shield, Premera, Soundpath, Aetna, Kaiser Permanente of the Northwest, Optima Health, Providence Health Plan, Sterling Insurance Company, and others may be eligible. Please contact your insurance company to determine if your health plan qualifies you. FITNESS REIMBURSEMENTS More and more health insurance companies are choosing to reward their clients for healthy behaviors through fitness reimbursement programs. Contact your insurance company or your company’s Human Resource department and ask about Fitness Reimbursements today! TALK TO US: This is your Y. Please make your concerns and comments known! Member suggestion cards are available throughout the facility and at the Welcome Center. In addition, you may receive an electronic comment card in your email inbox called OPEN-LINE. If you have something to tell us, great! Let us know. We pledge to acknowledge each comment and respond appropriately. LEED The Mill Creek Family YMCA has received a silver level certification rating by the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building for the 2010 expansion we did. By receiving LEED certification, the YMCA has committed to implementing measures throughout design and construction that focus on careful construction practices, non-toxic material selections, efficient lighting and heating equipment, and a healthy, comfortable indoor environment.

GENERAL INFORMATION PROGRAM REFUND GUIDELINES The following guidelines are for programs that do not have required deposits (which are non-refundable). Special restrictions apply to Camp, Child Care, Membership and other programs that are clearly stated in their brochures and registrations. Program Directors have the final say to make any allowances other than the following:

 Cancelling a program 1 week prior to first day of the program start date = 100% full refund less a minimum of a $5 service fee may apply  Cancelling a program after the program start date = refunds will be prorated less a minimum of a $5 service fee may apply  Cancelling a program half-way or more after the program start date = no refund. FACILTY YOUTH GUIDELINES “Supervising individuals” are defined as persons 14 years or older. The following general guidelines apply to all youth who are not participating in a supervised, structured program while in the facility: • Ages 6 and under must have direct supervision at all times. • Ages 7-Fifth Grade must be accompanied by a supervising

individual who remains in the building. The supervising individual does not have to be in the same area as the youth. The youth may sign themselves in and out of the program areas if required and follow the age restrictions posted for specific rooms and activities. • Sixth Grade-Age13 are not required to be accompanied by a supervising individual but are subject to age restrictions for specific areas. • Ages 14 and older are considered adults only for the purpose of use of the facilities and programs. An orientation to the facility and equipment is strongly recommended. ATTIRE As a family organization, the YMCA of Snohomish County encourages members and their guests to maintain an appearance that is not disruptive, distracting, nor offensive in any regard and to wear attire that does not present health or safety concerns. These guidelines are meant for example purposes and may not be inclusive of all expectations. Not permitted  Clothing and jewelry that carry sexual, vulgar, or offensive messages or references, including pictures of the use of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and gang affiliation.  Any apparel item that can be used as a weapon.  Jeans are not permitted in workout areas. Required in workout areas  Closed-toe athletic shoes.  Shirts or workout tops.  Proper swim attire is required in the pool and spa areas. FOOD AND BEVERAGES No food or drink other than water is permitted in the workout and gym, and pool areas.

AGE GUIDELINES BY AREA • Weight/Cardiovascular Rooms: Ages 12 & 13 may use the strengthening circuit and cardio machines, without supervision after completing the Teen Strength Orientation. Ages 8-11 can only use the cardio machines, but must be under direct adult supervision at all times. Free weights are only available for those 14+, regardless of adult supervision. • Open Swim: Ages 6 and under must be accompanied by a supervising individual in the water. All youth are subject to swim testing and other applicable rules (please see the pool schedule or a lifeguard for specific tests). • Family Swim: Ages 13 and under must be accompanied by a supervising individual in the water. All youth are subject to swimtesting and other applicable rules (please see the pool schedule or a lifeguard for specific tests). • Spa/Whirlpool: The Washington State Health Department does not allow children age 6 and under in the spa/whirlpool. Ages 7-13 may use it when directly supervised by a parent or guardian. • Locker/Shower Facilities: Age 5 and under may use the opposite sex locker room if accompanied by a supervising individual. Age 6 years and older must use the same sex locker rooms and showers. Family/Assisted changing rooms are available. ELECTRONIC USAGE GUIDELINES Due to the advances in cellular and video technology, and for the privacy and protection of our members, the YMCA asks that members and participants adhere to the following guidelines: • Use of electronic devices is not permitted - at any time - in Y

locker rooms and youth program areas. • As a courtesy to other members, please set phones to silent while

working out and please limit phone conversations to the lobby or non-workout areas. • Taking photos or video without permission is not permitted on Y premises. LOCKERS Lockers are available for day use by members and guests. You must bring your own lock and remove it at the end of each visit. Items left overnight will be removed from the locker room and placed in lost and found. Always secure your belongings. We recommend that you not bring valuables into the facility; the Y is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Security lockers for small items are available at no cost. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT At the Y, we believe every child has potential, and we’re here to nurture that potential. From youth sports to academic support to leadership development, the Y helps bring out the best in kids, and they keep surprising us with all they can do. CHILD CARE HEATHERWOOD EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER Ages 6 weeks-5 years Children’s activities are guided by a theme-based curriculum which is designed to foster all areas of your child’s development. These include creative art, STEM, literature, small and gross motor activities, cooking, and dramatic play. We offer a structured, consistent routine so that children can feel secure and thrive. Infant curriculum is planned for each child individually as their needs are diverse and change so rapidly. EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION Child Care for 6 weeks-5 year olds Limited part time options available LOCATION YMCA Early Child Care at Heatherwood is located at 13528 North Creek Drive, Mill Creek, WA 98012. CHILD CARE PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE Our Early Childhood Education (ECE) and School Age Child Care (SACC) Parent Advisory Committees are always looking for new members. SCHOOL AGE LICENSED CHILD CARE BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL When school’s out, you can trust the Y to provide an engaging experience for your child right at school. Y School Age programs give your child the opportunity to get to know some of their classmates better as they engage in active play and collaborate on fun projects. In the process, they’ll continue to develop the physical, educational, emotional, and social skills that are essential for success. Our School Age Care programs:  Create safe atmospheres of learning that helps develop self-confidence and builds character  Help each child develop relationships with others and learn to work together in a cooperative manner  Involve and serves families in significant ways that build upon their strengths  Uses curriculum that supports child-centered and child-directed activities  Creates an environment where team members are partners with parents and other caregivers Our School Age programs serve children enrolled in Mill Creek, Bothell, Southeast Everett and Southwest Snohomish area elementary schools during their out-of-school times from 6:30 am-6:30 pm. On-site programs are located at the following schools: Cedar Wood Forest View Little Cedars Penny Creek Totem Falls Woodside These programs are also accessible to students enrolled in the following schools via transportation provided daily: Mill Creek James Monroe Jefferson Seattle Hill Silver Firs Silver Lake FEE OPTIONS Our 2017-18 rate option sheets are available online, at all child care sites, and at the Welcome Center. OUR STAFF Our child care programs are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the need children have to feel connected and supported in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other. Each child care location has a dedicated Site Director, with a minimum of 30 college credits in early childhood or elementary education. All of our staff have had previous experience working with children. Staff have attended, and continue to attend, regularly scheduled training events on behavior management, communication skills, and creative activities to do with kids. Staff maintain current certification in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and other certification required by the licensor. In addition, staff and volunteers are thoroughly screened prior to employment and evaluated on a regular basis to ensure continually high performance.

CHILD CARE CHILD CARE (CONT.) SCHOOL AGE LICENSED CHILD CARE (CONT.) SNACKS Menus are created to meet our healthy eating guidelines and be appealing to children. We strive to improve nutrition and offer variety. Providing pleasant mealtime experiences is key in promoting healthy eating habits. A morning and an afternoon snack are provided daily at scheduled times. Menus are available at child care sites upon request. ACTIVITIES Children are like sponges - they watch and absorb knowledge, skills and values from everything and everyone around them. At the Y, we believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. At the Y, school-age kids make friends, learn new skills and do homework. Most importantly, children learn how to be their best selves. Specific activities are different for each location and age group, but all locations feature:

CHILD WATCH & ADVENTURE ZONE Ages 6 weeks-7 years Your child will be safe and well cared for in these areas of the facility while you enjoy your workout. Parents and Guardians must remain on site while utilizing our drop in care areas. Due to heavy usage and limited space, especially during peak times, we have a 90 minute limit in both rooms prior to 1:30 pm and after 3:30 pm. Families may use these spaces for up to 90 minutes twice a day. Be sure to pick up a parent brochure in either area for more specific information on these member benefits. EDUCATION & LEADERSHIP ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT PRESCHOOL BUILDING BLOCKS 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR Ages 3-5 This program is a nurturing program that helps build steps for learning as your child grows with us in our program. We encourage peer interaction, listening and kindness through games and at our active circle time. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MY ACHIEVERS PROGRAM (MAP) Grades 6-8 Learn about yourself and those around you in MAP. This program offers leadership opportunities, encourages students to achieve higher education, and career goals. Using a social justice curriculum, students engage in meaningful conversations about culture, identity, social responsibility, and more. Tuesdays & Thursdays at Eisenhower Middle School

CREATIVE SEWING DESIGNS Ages 8+ This class is for kids that like to craft and enjoy sewing. Ms. Eileen leads weekly projects to keep the class interested and leaves room for each participant to add their own touch to each project. This class offers opportunity for those with and without sewing machine experience. If you have your own sewing machine you are encouraged to bring it with you.

YOUTH AND GOVERNMENT (YAG) Grades 8-12 Engage in community service through civics! Participants discuss current events and issues important to them and our community while working on public speaking, leadership, and social skills. Weekly meetings prepare youth for a four-day mock legislative session in Olympia in early May. Come check out one of our meetings and be sure to contact us for a program schedule.

Loaded with activities like ping pong, foosball, computers, board games, Wii, and an Xbox Kinect, there is always something to do in the YDC! A staff member is always on hand to supervise, play a game or help with homework. SCOOTERS Ages 3+ Do you want to get in a workout while your child participates in swim lessons but 30 minutes is just not enough? Scooters allows you to workout while your child plays and we’ll be sure to get them to their swim lessons. More time for you, supervised fun and skills for them! All children must be fully potty trained and have their swimsuit on under the clothes to participate. Just follow these simple steps:  Check your child into Adventure Zone at least 30 minutes before their lessons but no more than 90 minutes  Let the staff know your child has lessons and at what time  Our Aquatic Staff will get them and escort them to their lessons  Pick up your child at the Pool at the end of their lessons

Plus, the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning a new skill or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out. The YMCA approach to Youth Sports is different from many leagues. We focus on the four YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. HEALTHY LIVING Achieving and maintaining wellness is a task that’s never finished. That’s why a healthy lifestyle is so important. We’re here to help you regardless of your starting point with a variety of classes and supports to keep you healthy in spirit, mind and body! FAMILY TIME FAMILY TIME IN THE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CENTER All Ages On Saturday and Sunday the Youth Development Center is available for families! Parents (or chaperones over 18 years old) can ask staff at the Welcome Center to unlock the YDC to utilize games and art supplies for family time. Parents or chaperones must remain in the YDC. Note: The YDC will be closed for Family Time for any scheduled birthday parties so please inquire before coming. Cost: Free and open to the community BIRTHDAY PARTIES All Ages Celebrate your birthday at the Y! All you need to do is bring the cake and your camera, we’ll take care of the rest, including clean-up.  Splash, Pool Party - For all ages. Swim for one hour, followed by one hour in a decorated club room. If children do not pass the swim or height test, one adult per two children must be in the pool. Please check our pool schedule for slide times and rules.  Adventure Zone Party - For ages 3-7. Play for one hour in the Adventure Zone then get one hour in a decorated club room to celebrate the birthday child.  Tween Party - For ages 8 and older. PEDALING FOR PARKINSON’S Ages 18+ Pedaling a bicycle may change the life of someone with Parkinson’s disease. Research conducted at the Cleveland Clinic showed a 35% reduction in symptoms by the simple act of pedaling a bicycle at a rapid pace, optimally, 80-90 revolutions per minute. We do know that fast-paced cycling is changing the lives of increasing numbers of participants who, had no hope beyond medication and eventually surgery, to slow the progression of their disease. The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program helps those at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles by eating healthier, increasing physical activity and losing a modest amount of weight in order to reduce their chances of developing the disease. Research by the National Institutes of health has proven that programs like the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program can reduce the number of cases of type 2 diabetes by 58%. DETAILS In a classroom setting, a trained lifestyle coach will facilitate a small group of participants in learning about healthier eating, physical activity, and other behavior changes. The year-long program consists of 25 sessions over the course of one year. Program goals are:  Reduce body weight by 7%  Increase physical activity to 150 minutes per week WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? In order to qualify for the program, you must be at least 18 years old, overweight (BMI ≥ 25)* and at high risk for developing type 2 diabetes indicated by a confirmatory blood value†, prediabetes determined by clinical diagnosis of Gestational Diabetes (GDM) during previous pregnancy, or a qualifying risk score (see brochure or website for more details). *Asian individual(s) BMI ≥ 22 †Individuals who have already been diagnosed with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes do not qualify for this program. HEALTH, WELL-BEING & FITNESS WATER ACTIVITIES WATER FITNESS Water fitness is one of the best non-impact fitness activities around and just about anybody can participate; pregnant women, the elderly, overweight individuals, those with arthritis or recovering from an injury as well as the very active person that would like to add the element of water resistance to their training. Anyone can benefit from the wide variety of aquatic classes available. Check out our current Class Schedule for class times and descriptions. OPEN SWIM Facility Members may come in and have access to the pool during our Open Swim times. SWIM TEST AND WRISTBAND POLICY Children under the age of 12 who do not pass a height test of 54 inches at the armpits are subject to a swim test. Children under the age of 12 must also wear a wristband indicating their swimming ability. FAMILY SWIM Time for families to practice lesson skills with their children or to enjoy a calmer pool environment together. During Family Swim a supervising individual must be in the water with any child under 14 years old. LAP LANES At least one lap lane is open at all times during facility hours. On Sundays from 2:30-5:45 pm as well as Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 pm lap lanes are only available for members 15 years and older.

RIGHT START Ages 12+ To help you reach your desired wellness goals, as well as find value in your YMCA membership, we offer three complimentary Right Start appointments. During your one-on-one appointment with our Wellness Coaches, we can help you develop a workout schedule and training plan while offering you accountability and support as you put your plan into action. MOBILEFITÂŽ Ages 12+ MobileFit is the only app designed to give you constant feedback from your Wellness Coach. Receive custom-designed workouts, video updates with the latest workouts, and personalized motivational tips. Coaches will track your progress and help make modifications in realtime to keep you on track. You can also follow a program designed by your coach or trainer, or even pick from dozens of programs that fit your specific exercise preference or goal. Participants will learn proper cardio skills and safe lifting techniques using the strengthening circuit machines. PERSONAL TRAINING Ages 14+ including Seniors Working with one of our experienced certified personal trainers will give you the confidence and skills to achieve your fitness and wellness goals safely and efficiently. The goal of this course aims to help parents learn what they should focus on for pre-teens and teen’s digital lives and how to address real threats. Parents will walk away from this class with a personally designed action plan to empower their kids to make smarter digital decisions, and resources to help young people arm themselves against the actions of their peers and strangers.

GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES FACILITY MEMBER GROUP CLASSES These classes are free to Facility Members and those with a day pass. You are welcome to drop in to any of these classes, no registration required! Pick up a class schedule for class times and instructors.

CORE TRAINING Increase stability and balance by targeting the muscles of the abs and other major muscle groups by using a variety of techniques.

ADULT KARATE Learn self-defense focused on real life applications. This dynamic class is open to all fitness levels and beginners are welcome too.

CYCLE TOGETHER A huge calorie burner, it’s a 60-minute cycling experience brought indoors. Chase the pack, spin the flats, climb mountains and sprint to the finish. Feel the thrill of energetic music and group dynamics as you get all the benefits of interval training.

AQUA DANCE FUSION A fusion of Latin and international music dance themes. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms. This class utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning, and easy to follow dance steps. AQUA YOGA Blend the benefits of aquatic exercise with the beauty and flow of yoga technique. AQUA ZUMBA® Jump into the Latin-inspired, easy-to-follow, calorie burning, dance fitness party that makes working out a splash!. BARRE Where ballet meets Pilates and Yoga. Barre focuses on a unique combination of dynamic movement and isometric holds, in sequences to strategically transform the body and develop long term postural benefits. CYCLE 30 TOGETHER This class will get you moving and feeling better in only 30 minutes. It’s a cardio workout that is as easy as riding a bike. Inspiring music and motivating coaching will get you to burn calories, improve muscular endurance and build cardio fitness. FIT FOREVER Energetic class for active older adults and younger beginning exercisers; a variety of physical activities including low impact aerobics, strength training, dance, and circuit training. FUNCTIONAL FITNESS This class is designed to improve balance, movement, strength, and stamina for daily lives. We will use a combination of weights and bands to learn how to move pain free while getting stronger. HIIT High intensity interval training, this class alternates periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods.

GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES HOLY YOGA A Christian yoga experience that embraces the essential elements of yoga: breath work, meditation, and physical postures. All levels are welcome to this yoga flow accompanied by inspiring music. INTERVAL TRAINING Designed to provide high/low intensity levels by mixing cardiovascular peaks with muscular strength and endurance conditioning. KICKBOXING A combination of aerobics and martial art training. Learn basic martial arts and shadowboxing moves. Gloves are recommended but not required. Also available is Kickboxing Circuit that combines aerobics, boxing, and martial art training in a circuit format. PILATES Improve strength and flexibility through exercises that enhance your posture and core strength. Exercises are conducted from the floor. PIYO PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. And, we crank up the speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout. SHALLOW WATER This class is designed for all levels of fitness and includes warm-up, endurance, toning, and stretching. SILVERSNEAKERS® CIRCUIT Fitness that increases your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power. Upper body strength work with various equipment is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is available for support. SILVERSNEAKERS® CLASSIC Move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. SILVERSNEAKERS® SPLASH Lots of fun and shallow water moves improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers® kickboard develops strength, balance and coordination. Anneke Matray has been an amazing addition to the volunteer program for our Y!! She’s considerate, friendly, and inclusive with everyone that she connects to within the walls of the Y and outside into our community.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT Financial assistance keeps the Y available for kids and families who need us most. We count on the generosity of our members and community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life be more healthy, confident, connected, and secure. When you give to the Y, your gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact right in your own neighborhood. The Y’s Financial Assistance Program is supported by contributions to our Annual Campaign and United Way. YOUTH MEMBERSHIP AT REDUCED COST Ages 10+ The Y is for everyone. Youth Memberships at reduced cost are available to teens who are eligible for free or reduced-price lunches at school. Turn in your Youth Membership application with:

MILITARY OUTREACH INITIATIVE We understand that military families are under enormous strain. Title 10 personnel are eligible for a Y membership. FOOD BANKS We collaborate with the Mill Creek Food Bank to collect food year round, school supplies in the fall, and toys to help with the holidays. We have a collection bin located in the breezeway of our main entrance. BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS We partner with BBBS to provide a donation drop for clothing and our annual toy drive during the holidays. You can find the purple clothes drop box located on the south side of our parking lot.

Anneke has been an amazing support to our Zumba Kids program subbing for over 3 months while Sharon, our regular instructor has been out with injuries. She dedicated hours of putting together class choreographies and game ideas to engage with the children while promoting movement and well-being. She is an ambassador to the Y, reaching out to new members to welcome them into the class. She has also volunteered her time to help with so many other things such as annual campaign, event photography, setup/breakdown for special events, and even helping guest instructors from other Y’s with stereo and AC setup. She is a huge asset to our Y and this community! Please join us in congratulating Anneke on being our Volunteer of the Quarter! YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY! Aquatics: Master Swim Team Coach Health & Wellness: PT TRX Certified Instructor Welcome Center: Greeting Members, folding towels, light admin tasks, facility sweeps; Must be 16 years or older Date Night: The 1st Friday of every month 5:45-9:15 pm, assist our staff with providing the kids dinner, a craft and play time in the gym. This is a structured evening where the activities are already planned. Volunteers give us an extra set of eyes on the kids. We ask for a 3-month commitment. Jumpin’ Beans: Mondays 3:45-4:45 pm, assist our staff with helping the children through an obstacle course and light tumbling. Tumbling: Mondays 4:45-5:45 pm, assist our staff with helping children through an obstacle course and light tumbling. Adventure Zone Reading Buddy: Read a variety of books to children during Adventure Zone hours, you can set your shift though mornings between 9-10 am work best. Kids Night Out: The 3rd Saturday of every month from 4:30-11 pm where Teen leaders are assigned a specific role and must carry out that role throughout the night. This can include leading a game, craft, or being in charge of dinner. If teens apply to be in the YLD program, they can earn credit to put towards other Y programs. 4th & 5th Grade Fun Night and 6, 7, 8 Late Night: The 1st Saturday of the month 6-10:30 pm, volunteers oversee a group of youth through swimming, snack, gym games, and group challenge initiatives. Swim Aids: come help out our swim instructors during swim lessons. This is a great way to advance your own skills if you are interested in some day being a swim instructor or lifeguard. Funds raised through the Annual Campaign make it possible for children, families and adults to have access to Y programs that improve their lives. Together, we can build a better us. Our 2017 Annual Campaign has come to an end and our community pulled together to raise over $158,000 to provide anyone the opportunity to participate in life changing Y programs regardless of their ability to pay. We couldn’t have done this without the support of all our committed volunteers and generous donors!

THE MILL CREEK YMCA ANNUAL CAMPAIGN: RAISES Awareness and funds for our financial assistance program. ENABLES Participation of hundreds of children and families in the Y membership, programs, summer camp and before/after school child care.

Annual fund allocations are disbursed to each of our six branch locations and Big Brothers Big Sisters to help ensure that critical Y programs and services are provided. Supporting the Y through the Endowment Fund is easy. YOUR SUPPORT HELPS THE Y DELIVER ON OUR COMMITMENT:  To nurture the potential of youth through building confidence at camp, academic enrichment in safe afterschool programs, or foundational skills and values in our child care programs.  To improve the nation’s health and well-being through combating obesity and chronic disease by providing the support and resources people need to make positive change.  To give back and support our neighbors by empowering people with the resources to improve their lives and connect and contribute to the community, such as with job training, housing, newcomer services, and opportunities to advocate for social change.  To offer programs and services to children, adults and families who need financial assistance.

ALLOWS The Y to provide financial assistance to anyone who would not be able to afford our programs and services. BROADENS Our reach into enriching community wellness and health.
