Yellowstone Forever is seeking volunteer nest searchers to identify and document Red-tailed hawk nest locations along the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park.

Volunteers are needed in mid to late April. Volunteers will locate historic nesting sites or find new nests by observing hawk behavior. These locations will then be documented so that nest success/failure may be monitored throughout nesting season by additional citizen scientists. Requirements:

• provide own transportation to Gardiner, MT • identify common raptors in flight • utilize field optics • walk short distances on uneven terrain
