In 2019, Holla Vodka moved production back to its hometown of York. Pat Shorb, co-founder of Holla Vodka, shares his success and vision with YoCo Connect: Q: What is the goal you’ve set for 2020?
Q: How do you describe Holla Vodka to those who are not familiar with the brand?
A: We’re looking forward to growing our presence in Pennsylvania Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores and introducing additional innovative spirits in modern packaging. We recently announced our partnership with the largest spirits distributor in the country to propel our plans even faster.
A: We’re a lifestyle brand producing a lineup of nine distinct vodkas using higher quality ingredients than what has traditionally been available in the mass market. Our products are blended and bottled in York for distribution throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware, with new markets in progress.
Q: What’s the one takeaway you want readers to remember about Holla Vodka?
Q: What was your greatest accomplishment in 2019?
A: We’ve assembled an incredible team of like-minded individuals who are passionate about creating local vodkas using progressive production methods. We believe our success is based on being nimble and adapting to local markets to deliver spirits that are fun to enjoy with friends and family. Our offerings are convenient and casual, but they have many of the key qualities found in global topshelf spirits. They are meant to be social and keep people off of their cell phones for a few minutes of quality face time (physical).
A: Moving our production facility back to our hometown of York. The new facility enables us to create a wider variety of spirits to efficiently distribute throughout the Pennsylvania liquor store system and to be the first company to ship spirits direct to Pennsylvania consumers at their home in non-glass packaging. It has been exciting to assemble our team in one location, rather than commuting or working from our homes during the startup phase.
