Inspired by his recent illness, the photoshoot looks through the eyes of someone with photophobia. Eyes are blood red, and throughout the day everything in sight is covered with a white haze. The night is a place where every detail becomes clear.
"The red of the eyes, the black of the night and the specific white haze; the whole photoshoot, in styling and editing, is based on these specific colours," explains Jonker on the unconventional colour scheme of the editorial.
