To created Coke Zero’s logo, business card, label, letter head, envelop and poster. Firstly, I created logo to make interesting and attractive. For colour of design, I choose pink, with black and white that would be easy to see. The target audience of logo for everyone especially female because I wanted to tell them Coke Zero has no sugar and zero calories. I sketched many different types of logo and scanned them. Also, I researched some pictures from the internet to get more ideas.

I created many different types of business card and l choose left hand sided one, because it was neat and tidy than others and simple. The theme based on a black background with white titles, because it made strong imposing and comfortable to see. The white title helped more emphasis a card. All of body texts used in white, it helped people feel more relax when they read.

I was trying to make label, letter head and envelop. Firstly, I measured an original label sizes than I scanned bar code, Information of 600ml Coke Zero. For the background, Yoon-Ji Kim I used a black and I madeCoke many Label different style of labels (see next page). Finally, I Nov 2008 decided the top of a label, because I wanted to show consistency with business card, label, letter head and envelop. The layout of the letter head and envelop, I put the left hand side to make simple and comfortable to read.

Purpose of the Module The aim of this module, I design OH&S guide book for Kinko’s FedEx. To understand the general OH&S (Occupational Safety and Health) requirements in both business industry and employment. So, I researched the meaning of OH&S and I went to the one of FedEx store in the city to do get some ideas. I used Illustrator and photoshop to create the guide book.

The theme based on sky blue background with white title, because I wanted to make the same as FedEx’s colour that looked more like real book. The white title helped more emphasis and most texts used in black, this helped all readers felt more relax and easy to see. Both of pictures and graphics, I researched from the Internet and used Photoshop or Illustrator to fix colour modes and created layers.

Once you know that a chemical wastes are hazardous, you can then take the special care required for handling and storing it.

- Keep exterior clean and protect from contamination or deterioration. - Keep closed to prevent evaporation except when adding waste. - Flammable waste accumulation exceeding 10 gallons must be kept in a flammable storage cabinet. - Segregate containers by waste type and use secondary containment(e.g. plastic tubs). - Store waste in locked or attended areas only. - Empty containers may be disposed of in the trash. Containers of any single pure chemical on the Acutely Hazardous chemicals list must be triple rinsed prior to disposal. The rinseate must be collected and managed as chemical waste. 2. Labeling - The generator is the person who is filling out the waste label, not the lab group or Principal Investigator (PI) unless the PI is filling out the waste label. - Date the label with the date that the waste is first added. - Fill in building, room number and telephone number where the person who is filling out the waste label can be reached. - Circle the appropriate waste steam(s) or write it in. - List each waste constituent down to 1%; heavy metals must be listed down to the parts per million range. Label contents must add up to 100%. Volumes are acceptable. - Use only common chemical names or IUPAC nomenclature when listing the chemical constituents on the label. - Check the appropriate boxes for the waste stream. If this waste is being moved to a Central Accumulation Area such as the Brown Solvent Shed, Colburn Solvent Shed or the McKinly Waste Storage Area, fill in the date that it is moved on the line at the bottom of the waste label. Proper chemical waste management protects the health and safety of everyone and prevents or minimizes pollution. How should solvents and chemicals be disposed of? Waste products of slovents and chemicals have to be stored in containers and properly sealed. These include: - Used chemicals from film and plate processors. - The solvent/ink mix from machine wash ups. - Rags, cotton waste and wipers used on clean up operations. Print Inks Some of the materials used to make printing inks are known to be toxic.

Take the following care when handling ink: -Keep your hands free from ink whenever possible. - Wear gloves when washing up. - Wash your hands throughly with soap and water to remove all traces of ink before eating. Safety Signs There are four basic categories of safety sign. The categories, their usage, colour and shape are as shown: 1. Safe condition Colour and shape: green background, white symbol, square or oblong. Use: provides information about safe conditions. Example: First Aid Equipment. 2. Warning Colour and shape: yellow triangle with a black border. Use: gives a warning of risk of danger. Example: Dangerous Substance. 3. Prohibition Colour and shape: white, circular sign, red border and a red crossbar running from top left to bottom right. Use: states that you can't do something. Example: No Smoking. 4. Mandatory Colour and shape: blue background, white symbol, circular. Use: states that you must do something. Example: Wear Ear Protection

How can this be done? - Always follow the safety rules that have been put into place by management. - Never misuse tools, machines or equipment. - Never do anything that may cause danger to yourself or to others. - Report to your supervisor anything you see that you think will causedanger. - Your OHS representative, OHS Committee or union representative may also be able to assist in resolving OHS concerns. - Report any accidents or incidents that take place on company premises. - Work together with management to make your workplace as safe as possible. Other health and safety hazards may not be so obvious. For example, we may not know there is a right and wrong way to lift and carry heavy boxes. If we lift in the wrong way, we can injure our backs or crush our fingers. If we lift the right way, we can avoid hurting ourselves. Hazardous wastes may be generated by a variety of work places such as teaching, testing and research laboratories, maintenance, and agricultural operations. These wastes may cause severe illness or death or pose substantial environmental threats when improperly stored, transported, treated or disposed.

WHAT IS HEALTH AND SAFETY? A lot of health and safety is common sense. We know if we trail a telephone wire across the floor there is a good chance someone will trip over it. If we block a fire exit with boxes, we are putting lives at risk if there is a fire. We can avoid accidents if we are careful. We must be aware of hazards and follow established safety rules and procedures.

1. Public Hazards can be in the form of: - Smoking, or using a nacked flame, in an area where flammable liquids are stored. - Oiling up or fixing machines when the machine can be started up under power. - Area of loud noise. - Oily or greasy walkways or floors. - Flush solvents and chemicals into the sewerage or stom water systems. - The misuse of compressed air can result in loss of life or serious injury.

Chemical waste may fall under regulations such as COSHH in the UK, or the Clean Water Act and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act in the US. The layout of each pages were slightly different. It means some reading pages were neat and tidy, which made people look easy to see.
