I am interested in creating harmony in interior space where different ideas come together to create didactic environment to the end users to provide personalized experiences. Throughout course of study at Pratt Insitute to be an interior designer, I began to understand human interaction with the surrounding environment and among people in interior space. The support from different materials, structures and detail of furnitures and hardwares creates the synergy when all the medium functions towards an idea with the collage of small scale grows to the larger concept. I aesthetically motivate myself to explore physical modelling to engage with more possibility of an idea with different perspectives. Also today, when technology have been developing very fast, I constantly work with computerlized modelling. The commercial projects I’ve worked on, I used Revit, Rhino, Sketchup for commercial works that the structure is more important, and for the residential projects I used 3ds Max, to show more details of the furnitures, fixtures and hardware. Additionally, I have been studying and exploring Virtual Reality to provide more realistical scene and that gives more personalized experience to the client. Throughout my career as an interior designer, I want to study and learn in interactive environment, involving in every stage of design process to meet the goal of the project. Therefore I could also be developed throughout my career.

different generations grandmother parents child Today’s society with growing elderly population, the goal of the project is to design a residency that could provide learning environment for all the generations. Privacy is secured through different floor levels and functional pipe system that wraps around all the floor levels. Designated rooms for each generation is not enclosed to offer openess towrads interaction.

One of the given goal for the project was that the grandmother is a gardener. Therefore, the garden was incorporated in veranda space, and both duplex has access to the garden. As one of the strategy for choosing material was that brining in the natural color of wood; brown towrads interior space, but diverse in textures and patterns. Moreover, with cool tone of gray that could define the public spaces where diverse genrations meets.

Furnitures are selected and designed in relation to the interior space. The main goal was to provide openess towards space, and in context to the site. First strategy was to provide coffered ceiling in relation to beams to provide higher ceiling atmosphere, and to select furnitures that are elongated with low and grounded feature from the floor.

distortion different perspective new reality
The dream begins with a normative, realistic setting that is more or less similar to our waking, shared reality. Through the use of distortion, the DREAM space is designed to be perceived differently than the original space. By viewing a series of distorted versions of the original space over the course of the dream, the dreamer is provided with a novel spatial experience.

DeepDream is a computer vision program created by Google which uses a convolutional neural network to find and enhance patterns in images via algorithmic pareidolia, thus creating a dream-like hallucinogenic appearance in the deliberately over-processed images.

Through imagination, the origianl experience is being modified through distortion process, and distortion is capturing the main structure. However, it tweaks supportive elements to create new perspective. Therefore, distortion has the memory of the originality, but provides us the new experience of the original.
