Project Manager for Kilare Irish Pub in West Chester, PA "No matter how busy work and life can become, I think it is always important to remember and support one of the most important places in our development. York College was an extraordinary place for me, where I made lifelong friends, learned many things about myself and made plans for the future. I am happy to help other people make the same kind of great memories I was fortunate to be able to make there."

Rev. Phyllis M. Bowers '91

Rev. Phyllis M. Bowers '91 is the Executive Director of The United Methodist Stewardship Foundation in Camp Hill, PA, and Rev. Richard Bowers '64 is the pastor of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Emigsville, PA. "We feel York College is a phenomenal learning institution. We give because we believe in education, we believe in our students, and we believe in making a difference. We chose to donate to York College because we learned so much when we attended and we want those same opportunities to be available for others in our community today. We are excited for future possibilities and honored to do our part to continue building the tradition of excellence in our alma mater. We are grateful for all York College means to us and can't wait to celebrate even greater success."

Jaleasha Ruth '11

Grants Officer at WellSpan Health Philanthropy, York, PA "As a grant writer, I understand the importance of passion. Passion is everything in my world. Whether it be a charitable organization's passion for a program in need of funding or a project leader's passion for his or her work and the results that work will produce, both contribute to creating a philanthropy-friendly environment where, with the right support, communities can reach their full potential. I give to York College because I have a passion for individualized education, a passion for seeing my community prosper, and a passion for doing my small part to extend the gift of education to another curious mind. Philanthropy is my passion. Without it, I'd be out of a job. "

Cole Fisher '14

Cole Fisher '14, Account Representative for Motion Industries, York, PA, and member of the Young Alumni Council "York College has afforded me the opportunity to do what I love each and every day. Without a York College education, I would not have been adequately prepared to embark on a career in Public Relations. Not only does York College have small classroom sizes, but also there are countless opportunities to get involved both on and off campus. I was able to gain firsthand experience in the York community through internships, volunteer hours, and venturing into downtown York. All students that are determined to work hard should be afforded the same opportunity I was. That's why I give back to York College!"
