80s Linda Amos ′84 (York, PA) will have three free-verse poems published in the October 2019 issue of CONCEIT Magazine poetry anthology. The poems are "In the Peaks and Valleys," "A Hug," and "Inhale Deeply." Mary Jo (Stolz) Kennelly '88 (Woodbine, NJ) is proud to announce that her daughter, current YCP student Madison L. Kennelly '20, also of Woodbine, competed in the Miss New Jersey pageant in Atlantic City in June 2019. Madison was a recipient of a Community Service Scholarship on the first night of the pageant.
90s Neal R. Dickstein '96 (Freehold, NJ) has been named the Superintendent of Schools in the Freehold Township School District. Robert F. Lambert '94 (York, PA) has been named to the Board of Directors for York Traditions Bank. He is currently the President of York County Libraries. Vaughn G. Silar, Jr. '94 (Red Lion, PA), founding principal of Paragon Engineering Services, Inc., has announced his retirement as of May 24, 2019. Silar started the company in 2002 and will remain a principal for the firm, as well as take on a part-time role in business development and mentoring.
00s Leah E. (Barteld) Clague '07 (Bel Air, MD) was sworn in as a member of the bar for the U.S. Supreme Court in June 2019. As a member of the bar, she has earned the right to argue cases before the nation’s highest court. She is currently an attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Jennifer M. (Racey) McConnell '07 (York, PA) is the new Regional Sales Manager for Centre County with the Central Pennsylvania Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Chad A. McGowan '09 (York, PA), with the Harrisburg Police Department, was awarded the Congressional Badge of Bravery on May 29, 2019, for his actions during a 2017 incident near the State Capitol Building when a gunman fired shots at several police officers. McGowan is one of just 18 recipients of the 2017 Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery. D. Hunter Mink '05 (York, PA) was elected President of the South Central Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. He is currently a CPA and Audit Partner with RKL LLP in York. Katie G. Robinette-Wagner '06 (York, PA) owner of Robin-Banks Entertainment, was one of three finalists of a new women-focused grant opportunity from the York County Economic Alliance and the Women's Business Center Organization. Kevin C. Snelbaker MBA'04 (Etters, PA) has been hired by York-based Kinsley Properties as Chief Financial Officer.

Fairburn '19 (Pylesville, MD) joins Baltimore-based MGH as a Digital Media Associate. Alexander G. Smith '18 (Brookfield, CT) is the new Chief Technology Officer and Software Developer with The Fire Solutions Group, a client of the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship at York College. Kyle M. Walthall '16 (Port Hueneme, CA) was promoted to Head Swimming and Diving Coach for the Ashland University Eagles in Ashland, OH. Kyle S. Wasilkowski '16 (Harrisburg, PA) has been appointed Director of Sales and Partnerships with Honey Run Golf Club in York, PA.

Dyer, Jr. '13 (Laurel Springs, NJ) were married on April 27, 2019, at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church in Jamison, PA, followed by a reception at the Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, PA. Holly A. Lobb '18 (Lititz, PA) married Gabriel J. Taylor, also of Lititz, on May 4, 2019. William D. Malewich '16 (New York, NY) and Kate Jones of Greenville, SC, were engaged on April 20, 2019. A January 2020 wedding is planned.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet. Jacque V. Falkenstine '57 (Shreveport, LA), December 8, 2018. He attended York Junior College and LeToureau College in Longview, TX. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a descendant of Lodowyck Falkenstein, who emigrated from Germany to Philadelphia in 1746. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon, their four children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Frederick A. Gantz '86 (York Springs, PA), July 8, 2019. He served with the Gettysburg Police Department beginning in 1973, was promoted to chief in 1988, and retired in 2002. After retirement, he taught photography classes and his collection of photographs is archived at the Adams County Historical Society. She retired from York Graphic Services as Assistant to the President and CEO, as well as a corporate officer. She is survived by her three sons, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and retired from both the Baltimore County and York Township Police Departments. Charles E. Pike '56 (Dover, PA), August 7, 2018. He attended York Junior College, Millersville University, and Bucknell University. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War, then joined the U.S. Department of Defense as a civil servant teaching on U.S. military bases overseas. He returned to the U.S. in 1986 and started a second career as a counselor at the York County prison until his retirement. He is survived by his four children and eight grandchildren. John R. Prescott '49 (York, PA), November 11, 2018. He attended York Junior College and served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He worked as the Controller and Business Manager at Community Progress Council, Inc. for 29 years and also served in the Boy Scouts of America for 25 years. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Norma Jean, their son, daughter, and a grandson. Susan (Whiteley) Quinby '39 (Milton, MA), April 30, 2019. She attended high school at the York Collegiate Institute and graduated from Vassar College in 1944. She lived in Milton, MA, for 68 years and was the wife of Dr. William C. Quinby for 54 years until his death in 2002. She is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Terry E. Reinhard '58 (York, PA), January 4, 2018. He attended York Junior College and Elizabethtown College, and also served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He participated in many civic organizations, was an Eagle Scout, and a life member of the York Fair. James B. Simmons '56 (Orrtanna, PA), December 9, 2018. He attended York Junior College and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired as a Supervisor from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in 1996. He is survived by his two daughters and five grandchildren. Frances M. Smith '39 (Bedford, MA), June 13, 2018. She attended high school at the York Collegiate Institute and graduated from Radcliffe College in Cambridge, MA, in 1943. She taught English for 38 years in Newton, MA, and was an active member of the Central Congregational Church for over 50 years. Rose M. (Kane) Thomas '49 (York, PA), September 23, 2018. She attended York Junior College and Rider College. She was a member of the Gold Diggers Investment Club and the Out Door Country Club of York, and was an accomplished golfer and bridge player. Tamara L. (Parrott) Wilson '85 (Ephrata, PA), June 6, 2019. She had a 32-year career with State Farm Insurance Company and operated her own agency in Strasburg, PA since 2002. She was very active in many Conestoga Valley community organizations. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jim, their two children, and many relatives. Dr. John E. Winter '46 (Elizabethtown, PA), January 8, 2019. He attended York Junior College, Juniata College, Villanova University, and Temple University. He taught for 39 years at three different colleges, retiring from Millersville University and as Guest Professor of Philosophy at the University of Vienna, Austria. He is survived by his second wife, Dr. Elva McCann, his five children and four stepchildren, as well as an extensive blended family. Lowell R. Withers '52 (Gettysburg, PA) May 8, 2019. He attended York Junior College and Millersville University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and spent most of his career as metal shop teacher at Red Lion Area High School. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Irmgard, their three children, and four grandchildren.
