60s Barry L. Moss '69 (Pompano Beach, FL) was chosen by his colleagues on the City Commission to be the Vice Mayor of Pompano Beach. He was recently re-elected to his third term as City Commissioner.

70s Anthony P. Campisi '76 (Hellam, PA) and his wife, Stephanie, were honored by central Pennsylvania nonprofit Penn-Mar Human Services with their Distinguished Humanitarian Award at a black-tie gala on March 2, 2019. Dr. Mark B. Fullerton '77 (Woodruff, SC) opened his seventh chiropractic office in South Carolina on November 1, 2018.

80s Brent Ames '88 (Victor, NY) was named the new Regional Sales Manager for both BCI-Empire and BCI-Koch Divisions. Linda Amos '84 (York, PA) will have two of her poems, "Her Kitchen" and "Ah, the Peonies," published in online magazine, Kaleidoscope in 2019.

Eugene "Gene" Cassidy '83/'91 (Bel Air, MD) retired from the Baltimore Police Department in 2015 after 32 years of service. He was shot in the line of duty in 1987, but remained with the department as a trainer and educator. Since his retirement, he now works with the FBI. He earned two degrees from the College as well as a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University. Dale H. Lamberth '80 (Mitchellville, MD), Head Coach at Thomas Stone High School in Calvert County (MD) since 2001, earned his 400th career victory by beating Great Mills High School in the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference championship game on February 28, 2019.

David P. Michaels '89 (York, PA) is retiring as Chief of the York City Department of Fire and Rescue Services. He has been with the department for 28 years. He will be joining WellSpan York Hospital’s emergency management team. Elizabeth A. (DeMeester) Webster '84 (Parkville, MD) earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in August 2018 from Walden University. She is currently Director of the Nursing Program at the Community College of Baltimore County on the Catonsville Campus.

90s Jason E. Connors '97 (Red Lion, PA) recently relocated his business, AllSearch Professional Staffing, Inc., to downtown York. He has been in business for over 16 years and employs two other York College graduates on his team of 20. Margaret E. (Coldren) Eldridge '90 (Abbottstown, PA) has joined the York County Estate Planning Council, part of the York County Bar Association. She is a Manager at accounting firm SEK, CPAs & Advisors. Kelley A. (Fay) Gibson '96 (York, PA) was named the new President of the York Cultural Alliance. She has been with the Alliance for five years. Guy W. Hettinger '93 (Dover, PA) was named Chief of the Penn Township Police Department in York County on April 1, 2019. He has been with the department for 26 years. Jennifer D. Strang '99 (Pittsburgh, PA) was recently promoted to Vice President of Marketing & Communications at the Printing Industries of America.

00s Melissa M. (Mahoney) Appnell '02 (York, PA) was named Director of K-12 Education and Assessment with the West York Area School District. Jeffrey W. Breslin '05 (Baltimore, MD) has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer for the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Baltimore. He was previously with Under Armour. J. Peter Glaws, IV '08 (Leesburg, VA) has been promoted to a member in the Washington, DC law firm, Carr Maloney P.C. Jessica E. Huntley '06 (Lancaster, PA) has been named the first Commissioner of the Atlantic East Division III, a new collegiate athletic conference. Emily M. Lamond '00 (East Brunswick, NJ) has been elevated to a member of the law firm Cole Schotz P.C. She is a member of the Environmental Department and is located in the firm’s New Jersey office. Lisa A. (Dixon) Layden '07 (York, PA) was named Police Chief of West Hempfield Township in Lancaster County. She was previously a Detective-Sergeant with the Southwestern Regional Police Department in York County. Charles S. Peck '02 (Wrightsville, PA) has been named the Head of Public Finance for Wells Fargo & Co. He was previously with Morgan Stanley. Derek J. Sherwood '00 (Seven Valleys, PA) is having his third historical nonfiction book, Nittany Nightmare, published this fall by McFarland & Co.


10s Claudia Camarena-Hackos '10 (Broomfield, CO) is a French teacher at Vanguard Classical School in Denver, CO. Erica C. Hartman '12 (Akron, OH) was promoted to Lead Designer at the National Inventors Hall of Fame in North Canton, OH. Joseph T. Rickards III '15 (Philadelphia, PA) was promoted to Member Services Account Manager with the Philadelphia 76ers. Peggy Ann Roche '16 (York, PA) is employed as an Intake Caseworker II at York County Youth and Families. Samantha L. Weed '10 (Langhorne, PA) is a new officer with the Middletown Township Police Department as of January 7, 2019. Daniel E. Werbeck '10 (Washington, DC) was named as a finalist for The Washington Post Teacher of the Year. He is a seventh grade science teacher at North Bethesda Middle School. Rita C. (King) Whitney '10 (York, PA) is the new Director of Communications and Community Engagement for the Cultural Alliance of York County. She was the recipient of the College's first Appell Arts Fellowship in 2012.


Weddings and Engagements Abigail E. Baker '17 (Lancaster, PA) and Joseph P. Imm (Limerick, PA) were married on October 28, 2018, at the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster. The couple resides in Maytown, PA. Kelsey L. Eshleman '08 (Maytown, PA) married Timothy A. Carbaugh of Marietta, PA, on October 20, 2018, in Dallastown, PA. The couple lives in Marietta, PA. Stephanie L. Jenson '11 (Medford, NJ) and Andrew J. Gotliffe '11 (Chatham, NJ) were married on July 7, 2018, at the Camden County Boathouse in Collingswood, NJ. The couple resides in Chattanooga, TN.

They met at the College in 2012 when they were both involved in the student orientation leader program. Heather A. Deceased Alumni Christine L. Anderson '87 (York, PA), May 4, 2018. She also attended West Chester University and worked at York Hospital and the Margaret Moul Home. She is survived by her sisters, many family members, and friends. Gregory L. Brenneman '64 (Red Lion, PA), October 8, 2018. He attended York Junior College, as well as the University of Tennessee and was Co-Owner and President of YORCO Insurance Agency from 1978-2006. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and was on active duty during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anita, their two daughters, and five grandchildren. Deputy First Class Jason Bush was employed by the St. Mary’s County (MD) Sheriff’s Office since 2015 and received the Sheriff’s Office Gold Medal of Valor in March 2019. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked for 25 years at the Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities as an Administrator and Case Manager. Lorenza L. "Renz" Ellis '55 (Dover, PA), January 12, 2018. He attended York Junior College and the University of Denver and served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He was a licensed professional engineer and land surveyor and was one of the founding members and a principal of Nutec Design Associates, Architects and Engineers, until he retired in 1999. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elona, and their daughters. Emily E. (Byer) Endrizzi '04 (Harrisburg, PA), March 11, 2019. She is survived by her three children and many loving relatives. Lila M. Fourhman-Shaull '99 (Felton, PA), February 23, 2019. She was the Director of the Library and Archives of the York County History Center and coordinated the center’s Book Blast book sale for 18 years. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Brian, and her parents, as well as two sisters, and a brother. John H. Gay, Sr. '76 (York, PA), February 11, 2018. He served in World War II as a combat antiaircraft artilleryman in the Pacific and served as an honor guard for President Franklin Roosevelt’s visit to Hawaii during the war. He worked at the York Caterpillar plant for 31 years. He graduated from the College in 1976 at the same time as his son, John H. Gay, Jr. '76, the first father and son graduates on the same day. Randolph M. “Randy” Hutchinson '77 (York, PA), June 21, 2018. He served as a controller for various manufacturing companies and is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathy E. (Myers), their children, and grandchildren. John A. Kadilak '52 (West Lawn, PA), March 13, 2019. He attended York Junior College and Gettysburg College and served in the U.S. Army. He retired after 35 years with Travelers Insurance. He was married to his wife, Marcia L. (Hepler) '51, for 60 years until she passed away in 2014. Horace Keesey III (York, PA), February 25, 2019. He attended York Collegiate Institute, Deerfield Academy, The Gilman School, and Lafayette College. He spent most of his life in the paper business, retiring in 1993 as Vice President for Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation. He was also one of the founders of Ski Roundtop and was a previous Chairman of the Board for The York Water Company. He was married to his wife, Kathryn, who passed away in 1995, for 40 years. He is survived by his four children and other family members.


Matthew J. Lanigan '08 (Sparta, NJ), December 10, 2018. He worked as an EMT at St. Clare’s Health Systems and also volunteered as a member of the Sparta Ambulance Squad. He is survived by his parents, sister, and many relatives. Judith A. (Gerich) Levine '89 (Palm Harbor, FL), September 29, 2018. After raising her family in York, she relocated to Florida and worked for 25 years in the Pinellas County School System, Adult Education Centers. After retiring, she continued to volunteer as a teacher. She is survived by her former spouse, Milton Levine, and their two daughters. Robert L. Link, Jr. MBA '87 (York, PA), May 7, 2018. He also attended Penn State University and worked for GTE Financial and Verizon Wireless for 42 years before retiring in 2014. He volunteered with Grantley Fire Company for over 30 years, and also served as Treasurer. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Rebecca, and his brother and sisters. William W. Millar '49 (Plum Creek, PA) October 24, 2018. He attended York Junior College and Gettysburg College, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patricia, and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Thomas F. Murray '92 (Palm Coast, FL), January 10, 2018. (Weddle) Shaner '14 (Frederick, MD), March 27, 2019. She worked as a radiologic technician at Westview Urgent Care. She is survived by her husband, Donald, her mother, brothers, and many other family and friends. Dwight R. Sipes, Jr., '64 (York, PA), July 29, 2018. He attended York Junior College. Karen L. (Orwig) Vail '71 (Mohrsville, PA), December 30, 2018. She worked as an art teacher in the Tulpehocken School District and for Kuzan’s True Value Hardware. She was active with the U.S. Ayrshire Breeders Association, as well as Berks County Farm Women, and Western Berks 4-H. She is survived by her husband, James, and their son and daughter. Ronald J. Viehweger '72 (Madeira Beach, FL), December 26, 2018. He is survived by his two children, a brother, and four grandchildren. William T. Wallace '42 (Riverside, CA), February 24, 2017. He attended York Junior College and Penn State University. He served for 24 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he flew fighter jets in combat in World War II and the Korean War. He retired as a major, then attended Columbia University to earn a degree in library science. He is survived by his daughter, sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

"Dick" Naylor (York, PA), December 10, 2018. A fixture in the York County community, he and his wife, Audrey, opened Naylor Wine Cellars in Stewartstown in 1978. He served as Director of Wine America, President of the Pennsylvania Wine Association, and President of the American Wine Society First Capital Chapter, was a member of the Society of Wine Educators, the South Eastern Grape Growers of Pennsylvania, and he also taught classes at Penn State about winemaking for 10 years. In 2013, the American Wine Society presented him with the Award of Merit, their highest honor for a lifetime of achievements in the wine industry. Perry L. Ness (Jacobus, PA), January 11, 2017. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was an illustrator/draftsman for the U.S. Navy Department. He is survived by Janet (Nevitt) Ness '84, to whom he was married for 65 years. Dr. Luther B. Sowers (York, PA), October 28, 2018. He was the husband of Ruth Brown Sowers '45 and served on many nonprofit committees and boards, including the YMCA and Memorial Hospital. He worked in administration for York City Schools and also served as the Superintendent for the South Eastern School District.
