Kathie (Noyes) Pedit '87 (Bonita Springs, FL) is serving on the Board of Directors for a second year as the public relations chair for the Membership Directors Association of Southwest Florida.
90s After working for 16 years in the insurance industry, Craig L. Bermann '95 (Bayport, NY) recently graduated from the New York State Court Officers Academy and has been appointed to Manhattan Supreme Court. Craig E. Lytle '93 (Lincoln University, PA) published The Sandwich Generation: Stuck in the Middle Between Children and Elders. He is a certified financial planner and chartered life underwriter who is the Founder and President of Income & Estate Planning Partners in Newark, DE. Jon K. Strathmeyer '90 (York, PA) earned his first hole-in-one on the par-4 fourth hole at Bridgewater Golf Club (formerly Springwood) in York, PA. Two friends and his wife of 27 years, Karen '89, witnessed the feat on October 2, 2019.
00s Tucker J. Eagleson '08 (Atlanta, GA) is the Brewmaster at Tucker Brewing Co. in Tucker, GA. He served an apprenticeship at Schell’s Brewing in MN prior to attending brewing school at VLB Berlin in Germany. Matthew R. Mayo '03 (Lititz, PA) has been named Assistant Executive Director and Nursing Home Administrator for the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA. Carolyn E. (Schneider) Smith '09 (York, PA) earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chatham University in May 2019. She is now teaching as full-time faculty at YCP’s Stabler Department of Nursing. On June 9, 2019, Jonathan D. Trager '05 (Schnecksville, PA) joined the U.S. Air Force Reserve as a Major in the 514th Aeromedical Staging Squadron with the 514th Air Mobility Wing, NJ. He will be leading the 514th ASTS' second Critical Care and Transport team. He is an emergency medicine physician and currently the Medical Director of St. Luke's University Health Network Emergency & Transport Services and Critical Care Transport in Bethlehem, PA, and he is also a flight physician with Geisinger Life Flight.

10s Hayley M. Althoff '19 (Red Lion, PA) started a new position as an Operations Analyst with SEI Investments Co. in Philadelphia, PA. The Rev. W. L. Barnes, III '14 (Grantville, PA) entered the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (now United Lutheran Seminary) in 2015 and graduated with a Master’s of Divinity in 2018. He received his first call as Pastor of Shells Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grantville, PA, on December 9, 2018. He was ordained into the Sacred Ministry of Word and Sacrament on February 17, 2019, and installed as Pastor of Shells Church on May 26, 2019. Morgan E. Benjamin '18 (Harleyville, PA) has completed her first of two years of study to earn a Master's in Education from St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY, in order to become a school counselor. Alexander Iula '15 (Dallastown, PA) was promoted to Senior Conference Manager with FLIK Hospitality at UVA Sands Family Grounds in Arlington, VA. Kristina N. Morton '19 (York, PA) is the Operations Manager for Sheepdog Protective Services in York, PA, a local, family-owned security business. Elizabeth J. (Rodriguez) Vegetabile '11 (Northampton, PA) earned her license in professional counseling (LPC) from the state of PA and now works as a Counselor for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Allentown.

Weddings and Engagements Veronica A. Barone '14 (Totowa, NJ) and Caleb A. Glass '15 (York, PA) were engaged on July 28, 2019, in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando, FL. A wedding in northern NJ is planned for the fall of 2021. Kasey A. Bireley '19 (Lancaster, PA) and Joshua M. Lofties '18 (York, PA) were married on September 19, 2019, in York, PA, after meeting at YCP during the Fall 2015 Semester. The couple now resides in Dallastown, PA. Ashley A. Buffton '18 (Taylor, PA) and Stephanie J. Keim '17 (North Babylon, NY) were married on September 13, 2019, at the Wyndham Garden York. The couple’s new last name is Keffton and they reside in York, PA. Christa N. Grimm '11 (Tinton Falls, NJ) and Zachary V. Zeiders '11 (Harrisburg, PA) were married on April 28, 2019, in Red Bank, NJ. The couple now resides in Eatontown, NJ. Allison E. Hutchison '15 (New Castle, PA) and Cody N. Bannon '15 (Hazleton, PA) recently became engaged. The couple met at YCP during Resident Assistant training in the summer of 2014. Alaina M. (Agnew) Julia '13 (Chadds Ford, PA) and David N. Julia '12 (Wrightstown, NJ) celebrated their wedding on September 21, 2019, in Claymont, DE. They met on campus at a Go Greek Event and after eight and half years, they celebrated their marriage surrounded by many family and YCP alumni and friends, including alumni from Delta Phi Epsilon sorority and Kappa Sigma Rho fraternity. Megan M. Shingleton '14 (Gilbertsville, PA) and Drew T. Chowhan '16 (Flanders, NJ) were married on August 13, 2019, at Snowbasin Resort in UT. They met over the summer of 2014 while staying on campus and bonded over their love of sports, food, and video games. They started dating in December 2014 and after successfully graduating college and obtaining full-time jobs, they moved across the country to UT to start a new adventure. On May 8, 2018, Drew and Megan were enjoying one the of numerous beautiful hikes UT has to offer and Drew proposed.

Deceased Alumni William L. Berkheimer '68 (Lakeland, FL), June 23, 2019. He attended York Junior College and Penn State. He started his career in elementary education and retired as a professor at Central Penn College. He is survived by his wife, Betty, two sisters, and many relatives. David B. Crouse, Sr. '62 (Virginia Beach, VA), September 2, 2018. He attended York Junior College and George University in Washington, D.C., where he earned his Doctor of Dental Science degree. He practiced dentistry in Arlington, VA, for 33 years. He volunteered his dentistry training with many organizations over the years and was recognized with several awards for this. He is survived by his two sons and five grandsons. John P. Follety '15 (New Milford, NJ), September 22, 2019. He ran track at YCP for three years and earned his degree in Criminal Justice. He is survived by his parents, Pamela and Philip, his sister Jackie, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kathi R. Hammels '90 (York, PA), September 27, 2019. While at YCP, she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha and the swim team. She worked at Memorial Hospital in York for more than 35 years, retiring in 2007. She is survived by her two children, five grandchildren, a sister, and a brother. Betty J. She was employed by Harry Ness and Co. and taught accounting classes at the College for many years. She was married to the late Dwight Kohr for 62 years. She is survived by four sons, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Richard R. Massey '63 (York, PA), April 14, 2019. He attended York Junior College as well as the University of Tampa. He was President and Owner of Formit Steel Co. in Red Lion, PA, and Vice President of Formit Metal Fabricators in Emigsville, PA. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dona, a son, and a grandson. Richard F. McCleary '48 (Ocean City, NJ), April 3, 2019. He attended York Junior College and served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he was wounded in battle and received two Purple Hearts. He served as a National Service Officer with AMVETS of Philadelphia for 50 years. He is survived by his children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jere M. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 28 years, retiring as a colonel, and was a Vietnam War veteran who was awarded the Legion of Merit. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Eileen, their two children, two grandchildren, and many family members. Michael C. Smith, Sr. '65/'75 (Lancaster, PA), August 8, 2019. He attended York Junior College and returned to earn a bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1975. He was the owner of Bob Smith Contractors and also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. She served as adjunct faculty for YCP and Executive Director of Atkins House, a treatment center for female offenders. She is survived by her husband, son, daughter, and many family members. Nancy L. A certified clinical specialist in medical-surgical nursing, she taught at YCP, West Virginia University, and the Nazareth School of Nursing in Nazareth, Israel. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert, and their two children.
