1970s Edward R. Clifford ’73 (Madison, AL) has joined Barge Design Solutions, Inc. as Client Service Leader in the firm’s Huntsville, AL, office.
1980s Linda Amos ’84 (York, PA) was recognized for a lifetime of service to York County and its citizens by State Rep. Carol HillEvans at her annual Valentine’s Day social held at the Crispus Attucks York. The Hon. Maria Musti Cook ’81 (York, PA) was elected by the York County Court of Common Pleas as its next President Judge. She will be the first female to serve as President Judge for York County, beginning January 2, 2021. Dr. David E. Fitz ’85 (Titusville, PA) has been named the Interim Executive Director of the Education and Training Hub at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville. He has been with PittTitusville since 2011.
1990s Robert F. Lambert ’94 (York, PA), President of York County Libraries, has been elected to serve on the Capital BlueCross Board of Directors. Brenda (Spalding) Niedererr ’91 (Chambersburg, PA) married Robert Niedererr in 1981 and they have three children and six grandchildren. She worked for 32 years in the book publishing/printing industry
in project management and for the last 12 years has worked in banking in Client Services. Dr. Claire A. (Straeter) Piccirillo ’97 (Sterling, VA) is the new Chief Nursing Officer of MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, MD. She earned her master’s degree at Georgetown University and her doctorate at Johns Hopkins University. She previously worked for MedStar Georgetown for 20 years. Calvin O. Weary II ’99 (York, PA) has been named the Board President of the York City-based Parliament Arts Organization. He is the first Black leader of the organization that was created in 2010 to focus on promoting local artists and fostering a diverse art community.

2000s Jessica C. Caggiano ’06 (Lansdale, PA) recently presented at the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee webinar on bargaining issues during COVID-19. Natalie Camillo ’09 (Florence, NJ) is the North American Public Relations Manager for Napalm Records. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Great South Jersey Chorus. Edward P. Hilario ’01 (Willimantic, CT) is the Assistant Golf Pro and Outside Operations Manager at Wampanoag Country Club in West Hartford, CT.

Mitchell J. Kemp ’14 (York, PA) has been appointed the Boys’ Varsity Basketball Coach for York Suburban High School in York, PA.
Susan L. (Waggoner) Berk ’93 (Lititz, PA), February 26, 2020. She was a florist at Royer’s Flowers for 25 years. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, David, who she met at York College, as well as their two children and her parents.
Tyler S. Ziegler ’13 (Coatesville, PA) has been named the Head Swimming Coach at Catholic University in Washington, D.C.
2020s Jared M. Wagner ’20 (York, PA) is the new Assistant Coach for the men’s basketball program at Hood College in Frederick, MD.
Weddings and Engagements Lindsey A. Ellis ’19 and Alec J. Druck ’18, both of Seven Valleys, PA, have announced their engagement. A May 2022 wedding is planned.
Jennifer L. Ceresini ’15 (Lebanon, PA), October 26, 2019. She was a member of the Chemical Fire Co. and the Lebanon County Firefighters Association and was involved with the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. She is survived by her parents and a son, Sebastien. Jack W. Coons ’63 (Lancaster, PA), April 14, 2020. He attended York Junior College and the University of Georgia. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and then worked in sales and marketing. He is survived by Cindy Coons, also of Lancaster, and two children. Lt. Col. Patrick M. Cooper ’78 (Portland, OR), June 13, 2020. He earned a degree in law enforcement from the College, as well as a degree in conservation from the University of Maryland. He served in Vietnam as a member of the 170th Assault Helicopter Company in the U.S. Army, where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and 19 Air Medals. He continued to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve and retired from the military in 1999. He is survived by his two children and a grandson.
Lorraine E. (Ruppert) Edwards ’91 (York, PA), September 29, 2019. She is survived by her two daughters and three grandchildren. Howard M. Gebhard ’71 (Gordonville, PA), July 14, 2020. He was the owner of Howard M. Gebhard, Inc., a monument engraving business, until his retirement in 2017. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Beth, as well as a daughter, son, and stepdaughter. Richard A. Goodling ’43 (Waynesboro, VA), July 2, 2020. He was enrolled in the first class of York Junior College in 1941 before enlisting in the U.S. Navy after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He also received a degree from Penn State University. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Donna, and their two sons. Byron L. Grove ’79 (York, PA), January 28, 2020. He worked for Verizon for 34 years, retiring in 1993. He also served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Northampton. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, with whom he celebrated his 57th anniversary in 2019, and their two daughters. Stanley E. Hamberger ’64 (York, PA), January 7, 2020. He attended York Junior College, then earned a bachelor’s degree from Millersville University and a master’s degree from Temple University. He began his career in education in 1966, retiring in 2008 from the York City School District as Director of Special Education.

Susan M. (Goodling) Hayes ’79 (Federalsburg, MD), January 29, 2020. She was a substitute in the York City School District for over 20 years after retiring from Topflight Corporation in Glen Rock, PA, in 1993. She is survived by her partner, Guy Conover, and two daughters. Nevin J. Imhoff ’73 (Stevens, PA), February 7, 2020. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1968. He loved to travel and lived in Costa Rica for the last 15 years, recently acquiring his Costa Rican citizenship. He is survived by a son and four grandchildren. James R. Lease ’62 (York, PA and Pompano Beach, FL), November 24, 2019. He attended York Junior College, as well as the University of Maryland and Catholic University. He was an electrical engineer at NASA for 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores, and their daughter, Donna.
Kathy L. Mosso ’90 (York, PA), September 22, 2019. She began her long career at York Hospital/WellSpan first as a unit secretary in the emergency room and later at the Family Practice at York Hospital. She became a licensed practical nurse through York Vo-Tech’s program, then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the College, graduating magna cum laude, earning several nursing awards and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honor society. Kathy became a certified oncology nurse, passing her boards four times. She later worked with cancer research protocols at Apple Hill involving breast cancer and prostate cancer, and ended her career as a hospice nurse with Compassionate Care Hospice. Donald E. Myers ’18 (York, PA), November 5, 2019. He attended York Junior College, where he was a member of Mu Etta Kappa fraternity and served as captain of the basketball team. He returned to the College in 2018 to earn one more credit for his associate degree. He joined the U.S. Army in 1961 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Sharon A. (Minch) Nichols ’71 (Hanover, PA), July 4, 2020. She volunteered with many civic and political organizations and she and her husband set up a scholarship at Catholic High School in Camden, NJ. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dr. Trent Williams, Jr., and many family members, who are starting the Sharon Ann Nichols Foundation in her memory. Paul D. Rager ’75 (Lancaster, PA), December 26, 2019. He was a member of the Manheim Township Police Department for 40 years, serving as Chief when he retired in 2006. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a military policeman, stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground in MD. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sally, and their two children. Renee J. (Pinto) Seman ’00 (Long Beach, NY), January 29, 2020. She was featured in The New York Times and Runners World for running six marathons after she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in 2014. These six marathons in New York, Chicago, Boston, Berlin, Tokyo, and London are known as the Abbott World Marathon Majors. Since 2006, only about 6,500 people have completed all six. She is survived by her husband, David, and their daughter, Diane.
