MISSION & PURPOSE
#SPARTANATION 2017
#SpartaNation is an outreach program to connect on a regional level with our ever-growing York College community in a unique way. The tour is a journey of discovery using alumni site visits, receptions, interviews, and social media to understand the relationship each Spartan has with York College.
In order to increase engagement with our alumni base and to help advance the College, 11 current students were chosen to serve as #YCPRoadCrew members during the winter of 2017. Our #YCPRoadCrew members were tasked to increase awareness and engagement among students, parents, and alumni by traveling with the Office of Alumni Relations to seven cities. In each city, they attended site visits, networked with Spartans during receptions, and served as social media ambassadors for our office. Through their hard work, the #YCPRoadCrew increased the number of alumni in active communication with the Office of Alumni Relations; expanded our engagement with alumni, students, parents, and prospective families locally, regionally, and nationally; and helped our office expose new mentorship, internship, and career opportunities for students.

Afterward, they share their York College experience, explain what steps they took to be successful in the professional world, and provide our #YCPRoadCrew students with career and networking advice. These site visits help expose new internship, mentorship, and job opportunities for students and the Career Development Center.
