CHERYL-ANN DALEY:
“ I got my initial nursing degree in 2011. And I started working in a medical surgical unit right away. Since then, I had been thinking that I wanted to become a nurse practitioner who could change things for patients. During the interview here, when I met with two professors, I was excited, and the interview was fun. They seemed genuinely interested in what I could bring to the table, and I thought that what they could provide me made it a perfect fit.” Cheryl-Ann Daley will complete her nurse practitioner degree in two years while working 30 hours per week at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
“ Dr. Norwich has been really supportive. It’s easy to talk about the relationships between what goes on in class and what goes on with real patients in clinicals.” Cheryl-Ann Daley

“ Something that really differentiates our program is the amount of individualized attention that students receive. Our cohorts are relatively small, and our student to faculty ratio is about four to one. With that kind of attention, expectations are high.” Rising to the Challenge At the prestigious Eastern Nursing Research Society (ENRS), York DNP students compete against students from such schools as Penn State, Hopkins, and Columbia University, sharpening their research skills and placing high in the rankings. Very Well, Indeed A thriving nursing program with nearby WellSpan York Hospital just down the street is one of many clinical sites that give you real-world experience.
