WEEK 1 | JUNE 10-14 REGISTRATION DEADLINE | WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5 Art in Nature with Kim Cash Ages 6+ | 9 AM - 12 PM Explore art through the beauty and diversity in nature. Create a nature journal, explore the weather, go bird watching and illustrate your favorite feathered friend, make prints of symmetrical insects, construct mini-houses for animals using natural materials, create sun prints, and make crafts from items gathered in nature. Students will explore watercolors, ink drawings, printing, and 3D construction to create artwork based on observations on nature.

WEEK 2 | JUNE 17-21 REGISTRATION DEADLINE | WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12 A Passion for Still Life with Vivian McMoore Ages 10-14 | 9 AM - 12 PM Think that still life is boring? Have you ever looked at Andy Warhol’s soup cans? There’s magic in still life painting! In this class, students will improve their drawing skills, and learn to look at objects in a new way. They will create stories through the arrangement of their subjects, and draw only what is important to them.There’s so much more than meets the eye in this summer art camp. Capturing Motion in Art with Kim Cash Ages 6+ | 1 PM - 4 PM This art really moves! Students will illustrate motion by creating kinetic paintings with rotating gears and found objects, and sculptures ,including mobiles, while exploring a variety of materials, such as wire, found objects, paint, etc. in this summer art camp.

WEEK 3 | JUNE 24-28 REGISTRATION DEADLINE | WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19 STEAM into Space with 4-H Science on the Move Ages 9-12 | 9 AM - 12 PM What is space? Can life exist on other planets? How do we get to space, and what do we do when we get there? Explore these questions and more through art and science in this space-themed camp. Computer Science & STEAM with 4-H Science on the Move Ages 9-12 | 1 pM - 4 PM Discover how computer science connects to language arts, visual art, music, and dance. Computer science activities will take place both onscreen and “unplugged!”


WEEK 4 | JULY 8-12 REGISTRATION DEADLINE | WEDNESDAY, JULY 3 Transformation in Art with Kim Cash Ages 10+ | 9 AM - 12 PM Everything old is new again! Using objects that are normally thrown away, students will transform ordinary objects and materials into works of art. Create paper sculptures through origami-folding techniques, use an old shoe to create a new sculpture, learn to weave using strips cut from an old t-shirt, and recreate a scene from your favorite movie or show. Let upcycled objects spark your imagination!

WEEK 5 | JULY15-19 REGISTRATION DEADLINE | WEDNESDAY JULY 10 Exploring Sculptures with Kim Cash Ages 6+ | 9 AM - 12 PM Discover the joy of 3D art in this fun, hands-on camp. Using clay, paper, cardboard, found objects, and yarn, students in this class will explore and create sculptural artwork inspired by mandalas, Jasper Johns, Louise Nevelson, and more!
