Nothing beats an etching press when creating intaglio prints. Using a 5x7" acrylic plate, oilbased black ink, and a variety of mark-making processes, you are invited to create a series of etchings on 100% cotton rag paper, through a table-top press. The chine-collé technique fuses thin papers into thick. Explore any source imagery you desire and get hooked on printmaking. Within the work time, you should be able to produce 6-8 prints.

Knockout Battle, Tournament Style Art Competition | The Competitive Portrait Drawing Competition begins with 16 artists randomly paired off to draw their best portrait of a model with just In partnership with Art Party, 5 minutes on the clock. At the sound of the buzzer, the model in each pairing serves as judge, choosing their favorite portrait. The which is produced by winning artists then advance to the to the next round until only Friday Arts Project. 2 artists remain. The final 2 artists draw head-to-head, and the winner is crowned champion and awarded the grand prize.

With open artist studios, art galleries, concerts, gift shops, bands & an art auction, there’s a lot to see and do. This event features nationally recognized artists, as well as emerging, local creators working in an array of mediums from ceramics to photography, oils, watercolor and mixed media. 22
