HISTORY

HOW KASK STARTED Swedish professional freeskiers Kaj Zackrisson and Sverre Liliequist had shitloads of time to kill while driving across the Rockies searching for the best skiing around. To pass the time, Sverre mastered the noble art of crocheting. He’d been on the lookout for the perfect beanie; one with the right look and feel – that didn’t itch. Always a trendsetter, he decided to crochet it himself. His handicraft infected his brother in arms Kaj and soon an underground cult took off. Beanies in all shapes and sizes came out of their van and spread among their friends. The KASK beanie was soon the coolest thing you could put on your head and was seen on ski bums and professional skiers throughout the best ski resorts in the world. What started in the back of a van in 1996, has now evolved into a successful, growing company based in Sweden offering unique, cool-looking clothing world wide. KASK clothing is designed for anyone who requires high quality, cool and functional gear. Wear it in the mountains and anywhere else you want to challenge your limits, in the skate-park or maybe at the dance floor. We are proud to be presenting our 11th collection. Professional free skiers Kaj Zackrisson and Sverre Liliequist had shitloads of time to kill. While traveling the Rockies searching for the best skiing around, they spent day in, day out in their minivan driving from Aspen to Whistler. From Jackson to Vail. And back again. Sverre was looking for a way to make the time pass. He was also on the look out for a beanie with the right diffuse, smart look. Luckily enough, Sverre mastered the noble art of crocheting. His handicraft infected his brother in arms Kaj and soon an underground cult took off. Beanies in all shapes and sizes came out of the van and spread among

their friends. The KASK beanie was soon seen on the heads of ski bums and professional skiers throughout the best ski resorts all over the world. The beanies were unlike anything else ever seen before in these circles. KASK went from being a quirky souvenir to being the coolest thing you could put on your head. Now Sverre and Kaj are taking steps to spread their handicraft to more than the closest circle of friends and fellow skiers. What’s more, they’re creating other cool-looking, quality products, with the same enthusiasm and enjoyment that they’ve had from day one.
