Animation for a theatre play frame-by frame animation composed on digital media 2012

Animation used as scenery for the play Arcades/Passages, produced by the italofrench theatre company Arte e Paroli as part of its project Oser le dire…Pouvoir le faire?. The animation was drawn square by square, inspired by the film “The power of
Ten” by Charles and Ray Eames. The theme of the animation dwells about the idea of Utopia, and the relationships between the city, it’s logical structure and how it can be transformed out of chaos and into order, over and over again. 13
Invisible Cities
Animated illustrations for an iPad digital publication 2014
Undergraduate school thesis project. iPad edition of the book “Invisible Cities” by Italo Calvino. The illustrations were hand-made, then scanned and animated. The book was designed for the Adobe Digital Publishing platform.
The concept of the digital edition consists of a series of different menus in which the reader can decide their own order of lecture, given the fact that the story itself doesn’t follow a lineal narrative. 15

Oaxaca Postcards
Postcards of Oaxaca’s doors and windows 10x16 cm, digital print 2012
Color workshop with the American designer Andrew Weed in Oaxaca, Mexico. The purpose of this project was to depict the color richness and visual complexity, displayed almost inadvertedly, in the streets of Oaxaca’s downtown. A series
of small postcards were designed, portraying the doors and windows of the city and its changing colors through day and night.

Workshop with Isidro Ferrer, spanish designer and illustrator. Fictional cover for the Carlo Collodi’s book “The adventures of Pinocchio”. The illustration was done using “found objects” along the house.
The typography for the title was formed using wood-block press, then scanned and digitalized into the cover.

“Eleven Sons” by Franz Kafka
Illustrated booklet Mixed Media 2011
Illustrated tale by Franz Kafka. Each character of the story was portrayed through the use of found objects put into the context of it.
Each one of the characters, the “sons” described on the tale, serve as the same elements that constitute the father’s portrayal at the end of the story.
