FINDING ALICE 2019 | SWINBURNE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

Finding Alice is an reinterpretation of Lewis Carroll’s famous novel Alice in Wonderland. This interpretation of the novel focuses on ‘falling down the rabbit hole’ of substance abuse. Alice’s world is completely black, however, as you turn the pages colour slowly starts to creep back into

her world as she engages with drugs and alcohol, making her feel as though this is the answer. The playing cards are a nod to the well–known drinking game ‘Kings Cup’ which is often played at parties and gatherings.

The design of the publication aims to reflect Abbotsford Convent Foundation’s rich culture and history. The collaging of solid colours and shapes against different textures photographed around the convent represent how the convent is home to so many activities and businesses as well as contrasting the old history of the convent to the new contemporary life it holds.

C TRAIN RUSH HOUR TIMETABLE 2019 | SWINBURNE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

This is a glitch-themed conceptual poster for the New York Subway between Manhattan and Brooklyn. The energetic design is inspired by the bustling atmosphere of the commuters within the city— accentuating both the unison and disjointedness of the subway environment.
