Hello, My Friends, The year 2020 is truly a year of transformation for Young Living, so get out your Transformation™ blend and start layering it on—well, maybe a few drops here and there and some diffusing to get ready for the rocket launch: the new Silver Bound bonus program, starting April 1. I think it is pretty well-known that I am very passionate about our compensation plan. When I was introduced to the network marketing industry, I had no idea of the magnitude of possibilities this business offered and how good products and a good compensation plan would alter my life forever. As I began to build my business, I realized that a strong beginning is so important, especially for

someone like me who was in great financial need at that time. When I met Gary, our lives became driven together in everything we did. The experiences that both of us had with previous network marketing companies gave us tremendous background in understanding good compensation for our members. With our growth, we were constantly looking for ways to make our compensation plan better for our members, and many of you were part of those changes. Our current compensation plan, which I think is the best in the industry, has helped so many of you to prosper with remarkable growth and so much success as you have advanced in rank. Gary and I created the Rising Star bonus to have a good business structure and be motivational for new members. However, it didn’t seem to work that way, as many found it too complex and few participated. We soon came to the conclusion that we needed a revision. How could we make our business fun, exciting, and enticing to our new members with more financial benefit as they began to build? Over the last year, there has been a lot of discussion about the need to make a change. Many new ideas and plans were presented, and as Silver Bound evolved, I felt the excitement growing with my distributor heart and mind. I could see that this was going to be exactly what we needed, and I even wanted to go out in the field and build with all of you. I want to especially applaud our Diamonds, who so excitedly chose to support our new plan as we combine the Elite Express and Rising Star bonuses
to create our new Silver Bound bonus program. We will see greater growth with higher OGV and faster rank advancement by supporting our members who are just beginning to build with this new rewards program. Most exciting is that all of the beginning ranks, from Silver and below—wherever you are—will have the same opportunity to participate in this new program. I believe that there will be many who haven’t built who will become excited with our new plan and will want to build. This is a perfect opportunity for those of you with higher ranks to look into your organizations and see who might be waiting, wanting, and will welcome your help. Silver Bound is truly a great addition to our compensation plan, a win-win for everyone. FOUNDATION FOCUS: EMPOWERING AND INSPIRING NEWS Celebrating our fifth graduating class
On February 15, 19 bright students tossed their caps in celebration of their remarkable achievement: becoming the fifth graduating class from the Young Living Academy and maintaining the school’s 100 percent graduation rate! Many of these students are the first in their families to graduate, and the trajectory of their lives is forever changed by the academic opportunity they received at the Academy. Domenica Lopez is one such student. The teachers at her previous school didn’t have the time or resources to cater to Domenica’s unique learning needs. She also suffered from bullying at the hands of her peers. That all changed when Domenica joined the Academy in ninth grade. Her teachers collaborated to find ways to cater to her learning style while teaching the same curriculum, which made her feel included. Her fellow classmates immediately befriended Domenica, making her feel right at home and giving her an opportunity to thrive. As a high school graduate, Domenica now looks forward to continuing her education to pursue a career as a chef. In addition to academic achievement, the Academy’s curriculum stresses the importance of service and includes a senior project in which students get involved and give back to their community. Valedictorian of the 2020 class Arianna Vaque, who aspires to become a marine biologist, says, “Let’s not forget to put into practice the vision of our founders, Gary and Mary Young, to continue helping others without expecting anything in return.” This concept was exemplified in the community service project led by Arianna and her classmate Ximena. The week of graduation, the students and visiting sponsors served together, picking up trash and painting murals, renewing the once-unkempt space. We are so proud of our graduates and are grateful for the dedication of our donors who make these achievements possible. Our graduates look

forward to pursuing their dream careers as doctors, marketers, biologists, and businesspeople. Through the D. Gary Young Leadership Endowment, we are able to accelerate the future leaders of Ecuador by providing scholarships to Academy graduates that cover up to 85 percent of the costs associated with higher education.
