LEVERAGING YOUR CONVENTION EXPERIENCE 2015 International Grand Convention

FOUNDER’S MESSAGE THE WAVE OF momentum Young Living is riding right now is bigger than anything we have ever experienced. What we’re doing in the network-marketing industry—and in the essential oils industry—is unheard of. For a company in its 21st year, we are growing in ways once believed to be impossible. The thing is, I don’t believe in the word impossible!

YOUNG LIVING’S BIGGEST event—and party—of the year is the International Grand Convention. This year’s convention promises to be the biggest yet, with two full sessions in Dallas, Texas. Since everything is bigger in Texas, we are sure your ideas and goals for the convention are even bigger. Our top-ranking leaders are convention experts, and we talked with Royal Crown Diamond Debra Raybern to get tips and advice on how to best use the convention as a driving force for your Young Living journey.

INSPIRE YOUR DOWNLINE

opportunity is real, our products are world class, and we are changing lives together, wherever we go."

Thank you, every single Young Living member, for lighting the fire within the company, within your own life, and in the lives of people around the world. Our opportunity is real, our products are world class, and we are changing lives together, wherever we go. Lighting the fire takes courage. It requires action and sometimes a little discomfort. That’s okay, because we can’t change lives in Comfortville. But the reward is worth it, knowing you helped someone be better! Life is a lot better when it’s lived with passion, isn’t it? Our relationships are more rewarding. Our work is more fulfilling. Our purpose is higher. When we find our driving purpose, we can achieve amazing things. When a community of like-minded “oilers” has purpose, we can change the world—and that’s exactly what we’re doing! So keep going! Keep doing your best every day. You have something that can change somebody’s life. You can give something to the world today that nobody else can give, because you are uniquely you.

CELEBRATING SUCCESS AT THE GOLD RETREAT As part of their leadership retreat, Young Living Gold leaders experienced the Seed to Seal process for themselves, watching the harvesting and distillation of our St. Maries melissa.

WHAT A BLAST! Gold leaders recently spent time at the St. Maries farm for their annual recognition retreat. The agenda was full of adventures, education, and networking—a memorable thank you for all the hard work of these top leaders! Following check-in, our leaders attended a welcome dinner where they met and mingled. The rest of the week included applied training and education sessions, exciting river rafting, and experiencing the Seed to Seal process by watching—and helping—with the distillation of melissa. Attendee Trina Smith Thornburg reflected on

her experience saying, “It was an amazing trip, and I felt so spoiled! I loved getting to see the melissa being distilled and seeing the St. Maries farm firsthand. It really made me appreciate the hard work it takes to create those precious bottles of oil.” Trina also says that she “loved being there with other members and sharing stories, goals, and ideas together. What an outstanding reward; I hope that everyone can experience it one day!” Young Living is certainly a family, and we are so happy we got to spend quality time together in St. Maries. We are looking forward to seeing you at the next recognition retreat! A NEW CHAPTER FOR CROATIA: DISTILLING IN 19 DAYS YOUNG LIVING Young Living Seed to Seal® Update NESTLED ON THE outskirts of the beautiful, historic

Mary Young as CEO brings her trademark of “Member First” with tenacity and passion.

IF YOU’VE BEEN around Young Living the last several years, you may have noticed that something remarkable is happening. Our unprecedented growth for a 21-year-old company in the network-marketing industry is something of lore and envy. Our world-class products are at the forefront of quality and innovation. Thanks to you, our mission is transforming lives all across the world. But even with all the transformations and rapid growth, there have been two constants: founders D. Gary and Mary Young. After more than 20 years actively steering Young Living as an executive, Mary Young recently accepted Gary’s request to become the new Chief Executive Officer. If there’s someone who was born to direct a worldwide business based on sharing an opportunity, it’s Mary Young. She has a tenacity and passion for helping those around her reach their goals and along with Gary has been at the helm of Young Living’s recent successes. One of Mary’s greatest strengths is her member-first mentality that she developed as a distributor in the 1980s. First introduced to direct selling in 1985, Mary relied on her entrepreneurial spirit and her tireless enthusiasm for helping others and within two years built a successful, multi-million dollar organization. “The experience of owning a successful directselling business before launching Young Living with Gary,” says Mary, “has led to a ‘member-first’ mindset for Young Living that continues to shape our culture. My love of the Young Living lifestyle has played a vital role in bringing the mission and benefits of Young Living to the world.” With Mary now at the helm, Young Living has become the largest female owned and operated company in Utah. Before the promotion, she was recently honored as one of Utah Business magazine’s 30 Women to Watch award recipients for her strong leadership, active involvement within her community, and strong personal and professional example.

LAVENDER DAY 2015

Families from all over enjoy the day at Young Living's annual Lavender Day. This family is enjoying the self-pick lavender—one of the many activities throughout the day.

EACH YEAR WE celebrate the harvest of our lavender crop at the Mona farm. Family, friends, and other guests travel from all over to explore our fields of blooming lavender, enjoy dozens of family friendly activities, see the harvest, watch the distillation, and discover Young Living’s unrivaled commitment to purity and authenticity through our proprietary Seed to Seal process. Though one of our biggest Lavender Days ever, this year was no different—a party for the whole family! With nearly 1,200 attendees at Lavender Day and 950 athletes running in the Run Through the Lavender 5K/1K, our Mona farm was busy with folks having fun, touring the distillery, watching shows, and learning about Young Living. Parker Kabalan, a new Young Living member, attended Lavender Day with her two-year-old son, Liam, for the first time ever. After the event, Parker said that Lavender Day offered an “amazing learning experience and a beautiful area to spend time as a family. It was incredible to be surrounded by so many people with a passion for these oils. This will definitely be a new family tradition for us.” A favorite Utah tradition, Lavender Day always has something for everyone attending. From an exhilarating morning 5K/1K Run Through the Lavender to thrilling jousting tournaments throughout the day, the events all day long had our family, friends, and guests immersed in the Young Living spirit. Held each summer, we invite you to join us at next year’s Lavender Day for all the fun, learning, and exploration! PAGE 2

In the World's Communities

THE YOUNG LIVING FOUNDATION WE HAVE BEEN blown away by the support, love, and impact our members and friends have made in the lives of so many people through the Young Living Foundation, formerly the D. Gary Young Foundation. In the past few years, the foundation has been actively donating Young Living essential oils and products to several organizations in Kenya and Uganda with the help of Young Living members just like you. Wellness is a main pillar of the Young Living Foundation, and it helps guide our efforts to establish philanthropic outreach that has been crucial to our success in delivering the highest quality education and products. In Kenya the foundation has been donating essential oils to Chosen Children of Promise. This organization works to empower impoverished children by providing educational opportunities, food, and social services to orphaned, abandoned, and special-needs children in Nairobi. In Uganda the foundation has been supporting multiple organizations through donations of Young Living products. Young Living Diamond Jessica Gianelloni

and Gold member Robin Mariocca have been delivering the donated products to our partner organizations and educating proper and effective use so that nothing is misused or unused. Some of these organizations include the African Hearts Community Program, Healing Faith Uganda, and Sole Hope. Each of these organizations focuses on supporting health, wellness, and education. Recently, Nikki Davis, Young Living director of global philanthropy, and Brittany Davis, Young Living marketing manager of global philanthropy, were accompanied by three members of Young Living’s award-winning film crew while traveling to Africa to visit these partners. Stay tuned—the final video will be released soon— be sure to check it out! Both Nikki and Brittany share that they felt both impressed and humbled by the work of these organizations. Nikki continued, saying, “We’re excited to strengthen our partnerships and encourage involvement of our Young Living members, family, and friends.” To stay connected or get involved with the foundation visit DGaryYoungFoundation.org.

LIVING BY DESIGN: AN INTERVIEW WITH CROWN DIAMOND MELISSA POEPPING Melissa Poepping is a Young Living Crown Diamond who lives on a busy little hobby farm in central Minnesota with her husband and three children. They have been using essential oils since 1998 and began using oils in their everyday lives in 2005 after welcoming their first child to the family. Essential oils have found their way into every aspect of their daily lives and into every corner of their home. Melissa recently hosted her annual Spirit of Wellness Event in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where more than 600 members were in attendance and raised $31,000 for the D. Gary Young Foundation, now renamed the Young Living Foundation. After witnessing the enormous impact Melissa has on those around her, we wanted to spend a few minutes with

her to learn more about her journey with Young Living. HOW DID ESSENTIAL OILS M A K E A N I M PAC T O N YOU A N D YOU R C A R E E R ?

I was working 70–75 hours a week as a mortgage broker for 10 years in an intense, high-stress environment. I took the work and the stress home with me every day, and it started taking a toll on me physically and emotionally. A friend introduced me to essential oils, and I began to implement them into my daily life. After the birth of my first child in 2005, I realized I couldn’t leave her and go back to work. I became acutely aware of everything in our home and sought out ways to create the best possible environment for her. As I began to use more Young Living oils and products in my home, I felt an emotional connection. I

My own fears were my greatest obstacle. For the first few years after my daughter’s birth, I tried a variety of work-at-home jobs. In the summer of 2010, I took a leap of faith and decided to give Young Living 100 percent of my time and eliminated everything else. I had to step out in faith and face my fears. As soon as I let go and trusted, my whole way of thinking changed. When my focus was solely on making money, I struggled and found myself stuck. So I began imagining myself having financial freedom and asking myself, “How would a Diamond do this?” That’s when everything began to change. Where many would find defeat in challenge, I found opportunity. It’s nothing short of breathtaking what happens when you begin to realize and achieve new visions, new goals, and new dreams by believing in your highest potential. Follow us on Social Media

Being part of Young Living allows my husband, Wayne, and I to raise our three children, be present in every moment, and live life as a family free of many common worries. I have the opportunity to educate others and share my journey with them, with the flexibility to do it without missing out on my children’s lives. This is an opportunity I never would have had in my prior career, and I am grateful every day to be there for my family. I can also empower other moms to do the same for their families, which motivates and recharges me. I thrive on motivating women to step out of their comfort zone to achieve their goals and still be able to play a vital role in their families.
