There’s only one problem: Many people confuse being a leader with being a boss. These two are not the same. Simply having rank or power does not enshrine someone with leadership. Almost anybody can ruthlessly demand and intimidate from behind a desk. However, a leader does not sit behind a desk. A leader is out front, doing the work, setting the example for others to do the same. As our convention speaker from last year, Darren Hardy, says, “A boss and a manager prod from behind, but a leader pulls from up front.” A leader is not a taskmaster. A leader is someone who inspires others to be better and to do more. It’s not done with threats but through empowering individuals and groups to reach their highest potential. ST. MARIES: The fields at the St. Maries farm continue to be dormant and inaccessible due to mud and saturated ground conditions caused by rain. Work in the fields should resume within the next weeks, weather permitting. HIGHLAND FLATS: Workers at the Highland Flats farm in Naples, Idaho, have started distilling blue spruce again, and the floral water recirculation system is also up and running. Workers from St. Maries are in Highland Flats helping to plant balsam fir saplings and ship trees that will be planted on other farms. ECUADOR: Employees at the Ecuador farm have been harvesting and distilling ylang ylang and mastrante, planting dorado azul and oregano, and distilling ocotea and palo santo. MONA: Employees at the Mona farm are busy preparing and planting for spring. The farm was recently home to the annual Easter Eggstravaganza and welcomed more than 1,800 members, guests, and patrons to the one-of-a-kind celebration. The horses were an event highlight, with the addition of three new Percherons and two new Friesian horses born at the farm.

The top three tips I share with all of my team members who want to take their Young Living business to the next level are: 1. Learn about the product. Develop your own personal testimonies. Get on Essential Rewards and incorporate oils into your life more and more every single month. You will have so much personal experience to give! 2. Share the product generously. I cannot tell you how many people ordered a Starter Kit after I let them borrow the oils as they needed them. 3. Teach, teach, teach. My sister and I realised no one in our area was offering essential oil classes, and we have seen enormous growth in our OIL SISTA organization by just teaching as many classes as often as possible. What does Young Living mean to you? Integrity, wellness, abundance, and purity, to name a few. It is a company that cares first and foremost about helping people and changing their lives for the better. This philosophy radiates from Gary and Mary Young and permeates to the rest of the company.
