Housing: For housing of a pet bird, always buy the largest and well constructed cage you can afford. For the optimum exposure try to keep your cage near the window. The cage should be washed with disinfectants regularly. Food: The diet of a bird should contain proper amount of pro-
tein and vitamin. Seeds have been the stable food for birds. You may give food items like sweet potato, squash, carrot, spinach, corn rich in vitamin A, and also the high quality food that is formulated for bird species. Fresh water should available all the time and the container should be washed once a day. Chickens: They are friendly in nature. In morning they use to wake up early and make others wake up too. Food: Chickens, when allowed to free range, will spend much of their time eating things you don’t want. They eat insects, such as slugs and grasshoppers, and weeds, such as dandelions. Chickens can also be given some kitchen left overs, like fruit, crusts of bread, and corn cobs, but should not be given meat or things with sauces and gravy on top, nor totally rotten food. Variety: There are many different breeds of chickens according to their personality, appearance, or egg production. The variety in chicken breeds also means they come in different sizes, from the smaller Bantams to very large birds. Easy to care: In addition to being inexpensive, chickens are relatively easy to care for especially as they are an outdoor pet. In cold climates where the weather gets below freezing for long periods of time, it is good to have electricity to their shelter as a light bulb is all the heat they need in the winter. DUCKS: Ducks are very cute, they are messy also and their quack sounds good. They love to play in water. Be a proud duck taker. Food: One of the key things to avoid when feeding your pet duck is any food that is medicated, always use non-medicated food. They eat fresh vegetables

Dogs: Dogs are believed to be most famous, loyal and caring pets animals. They are famous for their faithfulness all over the world People love to have dog in their homes. The first step to this process is to collar your dog and attach an id to it. The id should include the dog’s name, address, and the contact number so that in case your dog gets lost, the person who finds him would immediately know where to contact. Food: Homemade dog food can be better than some commercial products. We don’t realize what’s in the food we give our pets. They like crusts of bread, bones, oats, meat and milk. Some dogs like dog biscuits but some not, even some dogs eat spaghettis. Care: Give your dog baths at a regular basis. Do not give him frequent baths as this could dry out his skin or coat and could result in skin infections. The best option is give him a bath once in a month. When he gets dirty, rub the dirt off with a damp towel and wash the paws. An important part of dog care gives him a proper diet. Give him a balanced and nutritious diet, with plenty of fresh water
I sighed with contentment. It was so lovely and cool, with lots of trees giving yummy shade under which a dog could lie comfortably all day and sleep. We were on holiday in Ayubia. It was so very hot in the plains where I lived with Mina and Mehdi and their parents, it was twins’ summer holiday so Mom and Dad had taken leave from their offices and decided to take a holiday in the mountains so we’d all be cooler and more comfortable for a while. I was very happy because I have fur, you know. The twins had tried to have me shaved once – I mean, can you image, ME, SHAVED – but of course I wasn’t having any of that. But it did mean that I felt the heat really badly. So here I was, watching the night sky in the mountains of Ayubia, all cool and relaxed and happy. Mina came to call me inside because it was bedtime, but I didn’t want to go. I whined at her, then put my nose back on my paws. “It’s all right, darling,” came Mom’s voice. “I think Blackjack fancies a night sleeping outside. Let him, if it makes him happy.” Good old Mom. She always knew how I felt, somehow. I rubbed my tummy on the grass, signed, and went further along the lawn of the little hotel where we were staying. I rubbed my back in the grass, turned over, and went back to sleep. It must have been a lot later that I heard a strange noise that kind of half woke me up. I raised an ear, didn’t hear anything, and down came the ear. Suddenly there was a SWOOOOOOOOOSSSHHH!!! and I

jumped awake, scared. “Woof woof!” I said before I really knew what I was doing. “Sssshhhh!” came a screechy sort of voice from above me somewhere. “What do you mean sssshhhh!” I gasped. “Oh, be quiet!” said the voice. “You’re going to wake everyone up in the hotel, and I won’t be able to look for food because they’ll all be out here.” “Who are you?” I asked, looking up into the tree where the voice seemed to come from. “My name’s Soqi. I’m a woolly flying squirrel.” I sat down on my tail. “Er, my name’s Blackjack,” I said. “It’s good to meet you, Blackjack.” Soqi started nibbling on the tree bark. “Um,” I said, “Can you really fly? Soqi grinned, and although I couldn’t see very much of him in the night I saw his teeth gleaning in the moonlight. “Well, I glide, really,” he said. “And the reason you haven’t met any of us is that there are very few of us.” “Oh,” I said. I didn’t quite know what to say. “Oh, don’t be sad!” said Soqi. “I have to go now. Bye!” The whole tree shook as he took off. Oh, he was magnificent! Woolly from head to toe with a glorious bushy tail, he had skin attached from his front legs to his hind, making something like wings. I sat watching him as he was silhouetted against the moon. He used his tail to steer around tree, and finally vanished into the mountains. It was some time before I went back to sleep.

Recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating and compensating are the specific activities included in the function. Directing is influencing people’s behavior through motivation, communication, group dynamics, leadership and discipline. The purpose of directing is to channel the behavior of all personnel to accomplish the organization’s objectives while simultaneously helping them accomplish their own career objectives. Controlling is a four-step process of establishing performance standards based on the firm s objectives, measuring and reporting actual performance, comparing the two, and taking corrective or preventive action as necessary.
