Running the London Marathon! Today I am running the London Marathon!

I will meet with Team Autism runners for a team photo at the starting area

I will drop off my bag

I can collect ear defenders to help me focus on running

I can enter the autismfriendly quiet tent to relax

I will enter my starting pen

I will go for a toilet break and top up my water bottle I will stretch and warm up

I will start the marathon

I will see the National Autistic Society at Mile 14 who will cheer me on

I will pass the National Autistic Society cheerpoint again after Mile 21 and get a photo taken/see family and friends


I’m almost at the finish!

I will cross the line at 26.2miles

I can get hugs and high fives (or a wave if you prefer) from National Autistic Society volunteers at the meet and greet area

I can enter our autismfriendly quiet area if I need time to relax

I will receive a medal and collect my bag

The volunteers will carry my bag and walk me to the autism-friendly postrace reception at the May Fair Hotel

I will meet my friends and family and get a champions welcome

I can have food, photos, massage and shower

I can relax and enjoy the party – I just ran a marathon!
