WHAT'S INSIDE

We've listed every exciting event and unmissable theatre show happening in York this Spring!

March 2025

The year just keeps marching on…

Anyone else caught a case of the march madness? Well, what you’ll learn quite quickly is that, with our snickleways, cat statues, and world-leading numbers of ghost sightings, here in York we’re all a little bit mad.

Don’t worry if you’ve not caught it yet, as this month we’ve gone mad for something everyone can get behind — it’s events of course! We just can’t get enough, and fortunately, there’s plenty to go around. So, when you’re done enjoying the fresh spring air, with a walk to see the daffs at Clifford’s Tower or the snowdrops at Castle Howard, it’s time to get booking. There may be plenty going on this month, but the best stuff always fills up fast. So, what’re you waiting for? Get over to pages 8-20 (where our in-depth events guide is to be found) as soon as possible.

If you’re still finding that the weather isn’t quite to your taste, maybe it’s theatre you’re looking for. Lucky for you we’ve listed each and every show you need to know about on page 22-24. Then maybe after a long day of sightseeing you probably need a bit of live music to see out the night. We’ve got you covered on that front too, with our gig guide on page 26.

Whatever you’re in the mood for this March, with this handy What’s On mag at your side, one thing’s for certain —it’s set to be a banging start to the spring!

Until next month …
