Welcome

n DEC 2011 / JAN 2012

to York! Welcome to your What’s On Guide for December and January! York is a magical place to be at Christmas. When the centre is transformed into a winter wonderland with all the twinkly lights and Christmas spirit, there’s no better place to be. Whether you’re entertaining the kids or enjoying grown up company, with all the grottos, pantos, markets

and more, everyone is spoilt for choice. We’ve scooped up all the best events for you to make sure you don’t miss a thing in the run up to Christmas. So for your definitive festive guide, look no further than right here! And once the festivities seem like a distant memory, the New Year is a time for de-toxing, de stressing and de-Christmasing (although

we’re not sure that’s a word?). It’s a time to chill out and get back to reality after all the madness and make a new start for 2012 (as well as a bit of sale shopping of course). Whatever your new year’s resolutions may be, kick start the year with us. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at What’s On!

We opened the first Azendi in

Yorkshire close to the famous cricket ground in Headingley. Specialising in original silver jewellery, the store was a great success. Following on from this, our York store was opened in 2000. The store is located in a listed Georgian building in Colliergate. We have opened many new stores in subsequent years including London, Edinburgh and Bristol, but York has always been one of our favourite cities. In fact most of out jewellery is now designed in York and we like to draw on the city’s architecture and heritage as inspiration for new jewellery designs. Our featured Azendi designs on this page include the ‘So Lucky’ silver four leaf clover pendant which comes complete with silver chain for £25. The ‘Touch Ring’ (£95-£125) at the top of the page is a beautiful design available in many different colours and is silver with 9ct gold details. We’d really like you to pay us a visit, and if you bring this advertisement with you to the store we will offer you a 10% discount from your purchase.
