Spell-come to York! Terrible Halloween puns aside, you've picked a brilliant time to visit our lovely city. October is the month to celebrate all things that go bump in the dark, and what better place to do that than in the most haunted city in the world! THUNDER CRACK! LIGHTING FLASH! That's right, we have so many ghosts, ghouls and spectres in York that they even have voting rights and have to contribute toward Council Tax. To be fair, the average apparition can make a pretty decent earning in our city these days, with pop-up appearances along ghosts walks and from occasionally
Pop in for ious some delic e a homem d s e k a c
jabbing Derek Acorah in the back. Pays well does that lad. But if you're looking for autumnal treats not to be forgotten you've come to the right city. HallowSCREAM will see York Maze transformed from a sunny summer day out to a terrifying nightmare chase through a darkened corn field. And if you want a night time adventure that doesn't involve being chased by a mad chainsaw-wielding clown, try the Illuminating York Festival. You'll certainly see York in a different light, as some of our most famous landmarks are dramatically lit with projections and laser shows.
For the wee sprogs may we recommend the Pumpkin Festival at Piglets Adventure Farm Park? There's tonnes of stuff going on there, but we have just two words to sell the event for you: pumpkin slingshot.
Whatever you get up boo... sorry... up to, have a great month and keep this copy of What's On handy!
